Growler shared with Theis on request from Doodler. Thanks a bunch. This was truly a pleasant surprise! It pours pitch black with a small tan head. The aroma is filled with coffee, vanilla, hard roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit and a light boozy kick. The flavour is very balanced with notes of coffee, chocolate, raisin, sweet tobacco, hard roasted malt, sweet caramel, light chili and warming alcohol. Creamy textured. It has a long sweet coffee caramel like finish. Amazing! Ibrew2or3 (8912) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 7, 2011
Pours a nice mahogany with tan head. The aroma offers up loads of rich dark roasted coffee notes, dark chocolate, burnt toffee, more rich coffee and a faint sense of some sort of raspberry like esteriness. The taste is similar as it slide across the palate on a velvet carpet ushering in rich dark roasted coffee, burnt toffee, some chocolate and then slick oily rich coffee goodness into the finish. RBWG 2011. Poured black color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Aroma was a heavy toasted malt, strong coffee and dark chocolate. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Heavy complex toasted malt, vanilla and chocolate flavor and a heavy complex dark chocolate finish of long duration. This is a standout beer.

Thanks to Aaron for this long time want. Pours black as night with a one finger mocha head. Aromas of dark fruits, coffee, cherry, almonds and a hint of vanilla. Flavors of this beer do not dissapoint. Velvety mouthfeel and full bodied. Malt sweetness finishes with a bitter coffee like finish. Awesome beer. Bottle shared by a friend. Black pour with a huge tan to light brown head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, roast, coffee and cooked meat. Smooth and velvety coffee flavor with some malt and milk chocolate character before a roasty coffee finish.

Long time want. I’m a big fan of Alesmith Speedway Stout and I thoroughly enjoy my morning cup of quality coffee. I’m in a happy place right now.
The beer is near black with a thin beige head. The aroma brings a grandiose coffee presence. Roast and dark chocolate with fresh coffee beans. The flavor is just beautiful. Hype = justified. Beautiful coffee presence, which I expected. However, it doesn’t stop there. Many big coffee imperial stouts possess the prominent coffee scents, but lack balance and qualities typical of an imperial stout. Not so here. Lovely malt body and roast character with coffee fitting itself elegantly into an already delicious beer. Lovely. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - APR 5, 2013
Another huge thanks to bman1113vr for sharing this bottle at the pre Big Texas Beer Fest tasting.
Black pour with a tan head. The aroma is full of coffee and chocolate notes with a hint of roasted malt. The flavor is more of the same. I get some great, rich, nutty coffee notes as well as some milk chocolate and roasted malt. The alcohol is very well hidden. Thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Outstanding. tkrjukoff (4334) - SWEDEN - APR 26, 2013

750 ML bottle
Black color with a light tan head, good retention, lacing and ABV legs.
Nose is of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dark roast. Well balanced and wonderful smell.
Taste is more towards the vanilla end of the spectrum but the coffee is wonderfully done. Not too acidic and not too roasty. Get the base elements of the beer and then the coffee. Excellent.
Medium bodied, low carbonation. Silky smooth. Wonderful beer for such a beast. jmagnus87 (3302) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - OCT 12, 2013
Bottle sampled at RBSG. From notes. Loads of coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla. Very awesome. Been wanting to try this for a while.
