Aroma: Spicy tangy pepper. Airplane glue.
Taste: Eathy peppery mole, chocolate, coffee, roast.
Mouthfeel: Low carb. Rough pepper texture.
Overall: Not a big fan of this one, still fun to try and the underlying speedway is still money,bro.
Served on tap at O’Brien’s Night of a Million Zillion Speedways 2011. The appearance is the usual Speedway deep black hue with a medium roasty brown head. This was interesting coming out of the pre-poured pitchers since it quickly stained the pitcher with red brown film. A more typical Speedway aroma with a bit of peppery spice coming through. The flavors where a little non-distinct to my palate. A bit more muted then anything. The mouth was less creamy and a bit more flat. Not bad but not a standout. Black pour, with a tan head. Dark roasted malts, dry chocolate, coffee, light spiciness (pepper), and an interesting cinnamon character. The pepper is not hot though, and the flavor is quite different. Not my favorite, but interesting.
