Speedway Stout’s ominous, pitch-black appearance has become a hallmark of this modern-day classic. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the flavor, supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. A healthy dose of locally-roasted coffee from Ryan Bros. Coffee, Inc. added to each batch brings out the beer’s dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stout’s fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. This beer ages very well and will continue to mature for many years to come.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2017 Incredible beer. Thick dark pour with short lasting tan head. Aroma is dominated by Roasted notes, but they are not overwhelming in the flavor. Slightly warming.

Flight, Brewdog Edinburgh, Alesmith showcase. Pours midnight black, persistent tan head. Big booze, treacle, coffee, roasted nuts, burnt toast, charcoal aroma. Smooth as hell, but with a boozy warming finish. Massively complex, but well balanced taste of roasted coffee, chocolate, dark fruits, treacle, HP sauce hints too. Soft but with an enormous full mouthfeel. Tastes like a base for a thousand finishes (and there are) but probably wouldn’t be improved by tweaking. Great stuff.

Kicsi, nem túl tartós hab, fekete szín. Isteni, csokis, kakaós, kávés , aszalt gyümölcsös illat. Csokis, kakaós, aszalt szilvás-meggyes ízvilág, enyhe kávés és konyakos, földes aromákkal. Testes, enyhén szénsavas, erősen keserű, kissé száraz utóízzel. Nagyon finom, igazi nagyágyú.

568ml can from Beergium.com. Black colour with medium beige head. Big roasted coffee, big espresso, pure coffee beans, big mocha, coffee cake, big dark fruits, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, dark chocolate brownie, roasted malts, toffee. Really well balanced and smooth, doesn’t feel like 12% at all. Really great.

can. thick black with small head. rich and malty, dark chocolate and coffee. definitely a fine stout, with extremely good balance of flavors. but given the reputation this one has, i was hoping for more. amazing that this is 12% but drinks as easy as it does.

Pot on tap in Sandbar in Surfers paradise. Poured with minimal head. Aroma is rich cocoa and a hint of dark fruit. Smooth on the pallet and tasting of cocoa, the huge 12% is only a hint of warmth and richness. The booze comes through more as the beer warms. A great sipping beer

Been meaning to try this one for a while and finally caught it on tap the other day. The aroma is truly divine, a cloud of malty sweet chocolate. The appearance is a velvety thick brownish black. The taste is smooth, rich, and dense with a pillow of cocoa powder, mocha, and some slight smokiness. Overall very nice and worthy of the high rep. Good for a rainy day of packing, cuddling, and Tony Jaa movies.
