Speedway Stout’s ominous, pitch-black appearance has become a hallmark of this modern-day classic. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the flavor, supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. A healthy dose of locally-roasted coffee from Ryan Bros. Coffee, Inc. added to each batch brings out the beer’s dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stout’s fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. This beer ages very well and will continue to mature for many years to come.

The best stout I’ve had to date. Dark color with tan creamy good sized head. Lots of roasted malts, chocolates, a touch of coffee, and hides the alcohol in both the nose and the palate. Fantastic stout. From now on the one I’ll judge them all by.

Czarna nieprzejrzysta barwa piwa, piana niewielka, sprowadzająca się do pierścienia na szkle. Aromat strasznie jednostajny, czuć głównie kawę i paloność. W smaku to co w aromacie, słodkie piwo z lekką goryczką. Czuć dość alkohol, piwo nie jest jakoś bardzo cieliste. Bardzo się zawiodłem. Miał być sztos, wyszło co najwyżej niezłe piwo.

Absolutely perfect imperial stout. Worth its reputation. Coffe and chocolate in aroma, which stay in taste plus caramel. Perfectly balanced. You want to sip it all night although it has 12% of alc.

Postgusto a pasas y café. ¿Sobrevalorada? Probablemente. ¿Riquísima? También.

This used to be one of my favourites. It was big but still dry. Drunk from a can in Danmark recently and it was incredibly sweet. I am not sure if it is me or my pallet that has changes.

So sippable for a 12%. Lots Of roasted coffee, like an espresso liquor. Nutty with caramel warmth and complex intensity. Good balance of bitterness and sweetness Top class

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2017 Such an amazing stout, blending deep veins of chocolate and caramel with heavy mocha notes backed up by candied black cherries, fig, and anise. Sweet but not overly so, instead building up to a dry, dark roast coffee back end, bitter and clingy and oh so perfect. Gorgeous black pour with a tan head and endless lacing. Nose screams imperial coffee stout, sweet and heavy and decadent. Ridiculously smooth for a 12% beer. A classic. Delicious. Can't believe it's been seven years since I've had a bottle. Won't go that long again.
