Speedway Stout’s ominous, pitch-black appearance has become a hallmark of this modern-day classic. Chocolate and roasted malts dominate the flavor, supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. A healthy dose of locally-roasted coffee from Ryan Bros. Coffee, Inc. added to each batch brings out the beer’s dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stout’s fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. This beer ages very well and will continue to mature for many years to come.

In can. Huge aroma with loads of roast malt and caramel. Very full bodied and rich, the alcohol is prominent but kept in check by the massive malt and hop flavour. At 12% this is one to sip and enjoy, its almost a meal in itself!

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2018 Buena cerveza. Cuerpo, densidad.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2018 Great imperial stout. Fully, oily, soft body. Lots of coffee, sweet dark fruity and dark chocolate. Touch of herbs and licorice. Maybe barrel-aging could bring a little extra to it.

Since I long time that I was looking for this beer. Finally, I have found this bottle at the sterk grocery in Amsterdam, in can version. I have tried this beer yesterday and it was my last beer and I have taken a long time to drink it alone and it was really the beer to go to the bed and looking for the stars. It is a classical but powerful imperial stout, better to drink not cold or a little. The body is, as usual, a powerful black body, thin and creamy white foam, the carbonation is low but it is normal for the style. The taste has directly notes of coffee, at the beginning, it is a dry coffee and step by step, it develops notes of mocca, roasted malt, vanilla, hop but hidden by the malt, dark chocolate, the alcool is perfectly hidden, giving a «warm» sensation, liquorice side, creamy and all these aromas gives a powerful sensation at your body, the kind of beer to drink with time and with a dessert of chocolate.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2018 Fra dåse. Mørk, næsten sort med brunt skum. Tydelig kaffe i aromaen.
