COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Scottish-inspired deep mahogany-colored ale showcases a rich, malty flavor profile of caramel and toffee offset by hints of roast and subtle smoke. The complex malty sweetness includes notes of dark fruit balanced by a subdued hop bitterness. Wee Heavy is incredibly nuanced and in a class of its own in terms of balance and sophistication. It ages very well and will keep improving for years to come.

Yes - this is the scotch ale to measure all other scotch ales. On draft at OBC in Ojai, CA. Dark dark amber pour with a nice wispy white head. Malty and smooth, not overbearingly sweet - just nice.

Really full malty toffee - carame like profiled beer. Nice carbonation, a bit warming alocohol in the belly. Smoke really subtle in the finish. Cool beer. Tastes like a blend of Barley Wine with with rauch quadrupel.

Kran OMB. Miedziane, przejrzyste, oleiste, bez piany. Aromat słodki, karmel i toffi. Zadziwiająco półsłodkie, myślałem że będzie słodsze, karmel, toffi, ciemne owoce. Dosyć pełne. Raczej średnie, liczyłem na więcej.

OMB kran. Miedziane klarowne. W zapachu karmel, toffi, krówki... Bardzo brytyjsko. Polslodkie w smaku, slodowe, ziołowe. Pełne, że średnia goryczka i niskim wysyceniem.

A 10 ounce pour on tap at Rogue Wetbar Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver. A very dark brown beer with modest pale head and a faint malted nose.

Recognizably a Scottish ale, but more complex than usual. Tough to evaluate this after the Alesmith Old Numbskull barleywine, but nevertheless..I digress.. ;)

Alternates between malty and fruity. Difficult to say which predominates. Definitely a first world problem? My way of saying it’s complex. Most likely the best Scottish Ale I’ve ever imbibed. 3.9

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2017 On tap. Pours a very dark mahogany with moderate head. Aromas of candi sugar, caramel malts, toffee and raisins. Flavors follow same with a light smokiness. Excellent Scotch.
