12oz bottle picked up at Elevated in South Minneapolis. Consumed in snifter glass. Pours a copper/amber color with an assertive off white full finger head. Great lacing. Nose has resin and citrus qualities and the aroma is huge. Taste has a healthy malty backbone offsetting a big hoppy assertiveness. There are elements of dried dark fruits present but the pine and resin really run the show. The malty caramel sweetness adds a complementary drinkability that works really well with the citrusy hops. Wonderfully big and bold beer representing what Alesmith does so well. wombat23 (1621) - Texas, USA - DEC 29, 2016
Shared 12 oz. bottle. Amber pour with a light beige head. Aroma of citrus and caramel. Taste is citrus, caramel, pine. It’s good, but not as good as some of the other AleSmith IPAs.
