Previously known as Winter YuleSmith.

Welcome to the holidays! Double Red IPA arrives each year as the weather turns cool and our cravings for winter warmers begin. Bomber. Ruby red with a brownish tint. Sizeable khaki head with big lacing. Aromas of hops, dark berries, florals, citrus, and some funkiness. Caramel, dried figs, grapefruit bitterness. More lingering bitterness in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel, filmy finish.

AcctError31456 (617) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - DEC 14, 2016
The aroma is hops, citrus, pine. Pours a copper/amber with big orange/tan head and excellent lacing. The taste is bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish a good bitter. Very good, just seems to be lacking something, maybe more malts but then how do you balance.

kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - DEC 9, 2016
Dark brown and filtered. Nice off-white foamy head. Gym stinky. Lots of hop syrup and resin in the flavor. So concentrated.

3.6
Scouser (351) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 5, 2016
Pours a copperish red colour, with beige head and lacing. Head and lacing hold up well. Aroma of malt, not much to write hime about. Taste of malt with a citrus/grapefruit hop background. Not a bad beer.

3.9
CObiased (516) - Bayfield, Colorado, USA - DEC 3, 2016
12oz bottle - it pours an almost hazy amber, burnt orange with a very thick, fluffy light beige head. Complex aroma of roasty caramel, clover, hearty bread and citrus/pine hop punch. Heavy amber malts deliver body and sweetness while resinous hops bring a bitter balance. Nice long aftertaste

mrjez (647) - Osaka, JAPAN - DEC 2, 2016
Bottle from Seijo Ishii, 8 weeks old. Pours a deep amber, lovely beige head and lacing. Big hop nose, grapefruit, pine, met by a strong caramel sweetness. Flavour brings the same notes, nicely balanced, nothing out of place. Big bitterness but a full earthy caramel toffee malt backbone to make each mouthful glide over the palate. Nails the style.

tightslice (1380) - Redwood City, California, USA - NOV 30, 2016
Bottle from Whole Foods Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is grassy, orange peels, earthy citrus, caramel, burnt sugar. Taste is herbal, citrus marmalade, caramel, herbal lozenges. Big earthy malt backbone with a bitter citrus-peel finish.
