375 ml bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, cherry, tobacco, light earthiness and light spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of caramel, cherry, light tobacco and a hint of spice with a crisp dry tart lingering cherry finish.

Bottle shared at RBSG. The beer is a hazy brown with a white head of foam. Sweet and malty with an earthy funk to it. Cherry tartness comes through in the taste. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a dark reddish color with a medium white head. A big woody cherry nose. Tart, vinous, like a dry red wine, cherries, soft tannins. Very nice brew.

500ml corked bottle. Tart cherry aroma with notes of vinous red wine, bourbon, oak, vanilla and funk. Pours dark red with a thin tan head that has some retention and decent lacing. Starts with tart cherry and red wine flavors that also has a bright, lively mouthfeel. Finishes dry but quite smooth with some yeast funk flavor as well as nice bourbon, oak and vanilla notes cutting through the tartness nicely. Really nice and well-balanced.

Pouring at the RBSG17 Grand Tasting. Pours a hazed brown with a thin white head. Soft cherries and wood on the nose. Medium bodied, warm wood and bourbon. Bourbon or something on here is a bit too hot and distracting. Warm wood, booze, cherries.

Bottle share thanks to Toby. Pours an amber color with a ruby tint, moderate beige cap. The aroma is earthy and vinous, small amount of cherries. The taste is a lot of the barrel treatment, more vinous notes, sour pie cherries, and farmhouse funk. Woody and a bit of vinegar.
