Bottle. Murky and sedimented, dark metallic orange. Nice pillowy top. This builds on the already awesome Bitter Valentine base and adds a superb additional kick in the pants. Don’t bring it weak. (#6646, 6/8/2017) Tmoney99 (15035) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 25, 2017
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex citrus hop aroma. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a slick texture and lively carbonation. Very good brew. 22 oz bottle from nimbleprop shared with Tmoney99 and the Nine Giant crew and a second bottle shared with drsordr. Pours a hazy golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have big malts, fruit, orange, citrus, pithy, some floral notes, decent hops but doesn’t quite get the bitterness the name alludes to, very solid but I would love to see more bitterness. drsordr (2885) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - APR 4, 2017
Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pour avg gold with moderate ecru head. Nose big grass, weedy, fruit pith, orange zest, slight dank. Taste moderate bitter up front, then taste similar to nose. Some sweet character as well. Light bitter finish.

22 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA (bottled February 9, 2017). Dark orange pour with a frothy khaki head. Aroma of grapefruit, pineapple, and mango. Taste of bitter grapefruit rind, orange, various other tropical fruits, and mild caramel. Pleasantly bitter finish. A great DIPA. nimbleprop (8808) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAR 3, 2017
22oz bottle from a NoVA TJoes, pours a darker orange with some frothy, white head. Nose is very nice, grapefruit, orange, some pine and pine sap, a little honey, soap. Flavor follows, it’s not juicy - it’s pithy and dry like a Woody Allen script, piney, soapy, orange and grapefruit rinds, just a little honey backbone. Finishes dry and bitter. I thought this was very well done. Emeister84 (2594) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - MAR 2, 2017
On tap at Fardowners. Aromas of grapefruit, orange peel, fresh citrus rind, light pine. Clear orange with a mostly lasting white head. Bitter but pretty balanced, light fruity sweetness, juicy, lightly assertive. Medium-full bodied with a clean, lingering bitterness. tsd08460 (1261) - Marshall, Virginia, USA - MAR 2, 2017

22oz bottle purchased at the local Trader Joes. Poured a clear orange/amber color with a fluffy, medium sized white head. Aroma was lots of grapefruit, grapefruit zest. Tropical fruit notes are more subtle here, with a blast of pine resin. Flavor was very hoppy, pine and resin, grapefruit. Enjoyed this quite a bit. Quite a bit like regular Bitter Valentine.
