22oz bottle pours dark brown black with finger and a half of light tan head. Nose has some nice fruity vanilla marshmallow bourbon chocolate, touch of licorice and some dark fruit. Taste is medium bodied, some semi sweet marshmallow, chocolate, light oak, char, a touch of molasses, roasty cacao. Finishes with fairly well integrated vanilla oak and light wood spice, dark fruity chocolate and some nutty licorice. A touch more heft to the body could have improved this, but a solid offering overall. MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - JUN 4, 2015

Dark brown color. Big chocolate fudge nose with modest bourbon. The mouth is super chocolately, fairly sweet with bourbon notes. Very much like a dessert beer. Big sweet chocolate fudge and slightly bourbon finish. A bit too much, but good sharing beer. jtclockwork (17070) - , New Jersey, USA - JAN 8, 2015

My Bottom Line:
Prevalent bourbon oversees this Porter’s caramel and roasted malts for a nearly linear experience.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the darkest brown.
-Bourbon is too intense in the nose and flavor profile for my tastes. The Porter feels overwhelmed.
-The mouthfeel is silky and rich.
-Alcohol is warming throughout.
