I added this beer because the "Rapadou Porter" currently in the database is designated as "Brewmaster’s Reserve", not "Brewer’s Choice", and the ABV of this beer is 8.5%, vice the 9.0% given for the "Reserve". Finally, the label is different.
I had to look up the word "Rapadou", and found it in the Creole Dictionary online -- "Solid rolls of brown sugar and molasses". Which sounds about as rich and delicious as this beer turned out to be. The color is dark dark brown, and the head is short-lived. Aroma is about as rich as a porter can be, and the taste of caramel and molasses is strong; drinking it at room table from a snifter, it feels much more like a bourbon than a beer. jsquire (4483) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - NOV 28, 2013
Dark beer with some ruby hints when held against the light. Short lived beige head. Thick nose of molasses and dark dried fruit. This is a full flavored porter with lots of dark brown sugar, molasses, raisin and dried fruit flavors with hints of ash and something almost smokey. Tasty beer. Bottle at post GABF tasting day 1, courtesy of iphonefan. Pours a very dark brown, almost black pour with a thin layer of beige head. Aroma is malty, chocolate and slight alcoholic. Flavour is moderately sweet and malty. Faint touches of caramel and molasses on there. Bottle courtesy Iphonephan. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin off white head. The aroma is is rich toffee caramel. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a big liqourice roasted malt palate.

Serving: 22 oz. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a very dark brown with a small tan head. The nose sweet with a little vanilla, roasted malt, and a hint of chocolate. The flavor leans towards the sweet side as well. The roasted malt and chocolate balance each other out. A light dried fruit note emerges as the brew warms. Bottle. Black with almost no head. Nose is toffee and burnt caramel. Taste adds some marshmallow and soy sauce. Palate is nice and round and full. Sweet and just savory enough.

Bottle into a goblet. Pours a deep, viscous brown. Very thin tan head. Pleasant roasty aroma with big sweet, vanilla notes. Taste is a lot of sweet toffee. Like a Heath bar in beer form. Chocolate, caramel, nuts, vanilla. Finishes surprisingly dry. Real good.
