COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Imperial Porter brewed with a Haitian sugar called Rapadou. Rapadou is a traditionally processed cane sugar that lends a great toffee caramel flavor to our 8.5% ABV Porter. Watch for this one aged in oak barrels in the future. Limited edition of 2007 bottles.

Pours dark brown with brownish head. Roasty, caramel malt, light touch of coffee, sugar cane is present. Very impressed, wish this beer was available here in FL.

Pours a black color with a small head leaving some lace. The aroma is nutty with some sweet malt and some molasses. The flavor has a good malt sweetness with some molasses some cherry and a good bit of chocolate.

Bottle 0590 of 2007. Poured an opaque black color. The head was one finger high and brown. It reduced over a minute or two to a lasting film. Chocolate and whiffs of cinnamon and anise in the nose. Medium to full bodied and slightly sweet. A bit of roasty bitterness emerged at the end.

Bottle at post GABF tasting day 1, courtesy of iphonefan. Pours a very dark brown, almost black pour with a thin layer of beige head. Aroma is malty, chocolate and slight alcoholic. Flavour is moderately sweet and malty. Faint touches of caramel and molasses on there. I’m not really getting the specific cane sugar used for this brew, but there are definitely some sugar notes in there. An ok beer.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2015 $7.79 Bomber Bottle, Wine Warehouse, CHO. Nearly black with a small beige head. Smells of coffee, toffee, caramel. Tastes of toffee, sugar, caramel, and metal. Light grasses and alcohol too.

Bomber from Drake - thanks Dan! 6 4 14 bottle date. Pours dark cola colored - almost black but for the brown highlights - with an early brown head that faded to nothing quickly, leaving no lacing. Aroma has sweet molasses, chocolate, simple sugar and some roast. Later down the glass, the molasses is stronger, and some anise and brown sugar show through. Taste is of sweet milk chocolate, molasses, caramel and brown sugar with roasty malts and light licorice. Down in the glass, the sweetness overwhelms everything else. Medium to full bodied and sticky. Not much alcohol presence. Finishes long and more sweet than bittersweet, with tangy anisette. Solid flavors, but too sweet to be top notch. 14.3

22oz bomber shared by Dave. Pours black with a small creamy tan head. Aroma of burnt sugar, dark malts, black coffee, chocolate, and booze. Taste is much the same. Taste of dark malts, chocolate, burnt sugar, toffee/caramel, and old coffee. Definitely lots of sweetness from the sugar. Solid

Much thanks to Dave. Pours out a nice brown to almost black color with a small white head. Aroma is of some chocolate, burnt malt, light roast, Hershey syrup, light coffee. And some vanilla. Taste is burnt sugar, chocolate syrup, light roast, some mild coffee, body is a bit thin. Pretty tasty.

22 oz bottle (2016) shared by DCLawyer, thanks Jason! Side by side with a 2013-ish bottle that had been rotting away in my cellar. Dark brownish black with tan head. Aromas of licorice, cocoa, caramel. Tastes of licorice, cocoa, dark fruit, caramel, dark chocolate, roasty notes. Medium body with a dry finish.

2016 bomber from Dominion Wine and Beer, and a 2013 bomber shared by GenDV110+OT, tasted side by side. 2016: deep brown with tan head. A: roast coffee, chocolate malt, ash. T: bittersweet coffee, roasted malt, chocolate. decent. 2013: dark brown with minimal tan head. A: boozy malt, chocolate. T: strong caramel malt, chocolate, booze. Cellaring has turned it into more like an American strong ale. Rating is of the 2016.
