Draft. Pours medium black, lively carbonation, spotty lacing. Nose is cocoa, florals, tar, smoke, coffee, earth. Flavours are very chocolatey and toffeeish, plus earth, tar, spice, very balanced, long finish. Elwood (3347) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - AUG 23, 2013
Serving: 22 oz. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a very dark brown with a small tan head. The nose sweet with a little vanilla, roasted malt, and a hint of chocolate. The flavor leans towards the sweet side as well. The roasted malt and chocolate balance each other out. A light dried fruit note emerges as the brew warms. Medium to full body with softer carbonation. A delicious offering from Alewerks. Luvystypotables (2099) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - MAY 30, 2016
A great aroma of chocolate and raspberry with a hint of malt. Pours a dark black color with a taste of raspberry, chocolate and sweet malt. Medium body, with a sweet chocolate finish. BlazerT (1336) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - DEC 17, 2017
Nice, drinkable, light heavy sweet. Nose full of toffee, coffee and organic sugar, slightly oaky and slightly ashy. ABV is completely unnoticeable.

Number 22 oz offering #355 of 2007 from up the road in Williamsburg. Dark, dark brown with a hint of reddish tinge. The aroma is sweet and robust, full of brown sugar, enough to attract any hummingbird. This has an almost wicked bite of woodsy, roasty caramel, almost coffee-like. This is delicious and I look forward to the oak-aged version. (#3262, 12/31/2007) Ughsmash (7502) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 10, 2008
Bomber, #206/2007 thanks to Ken!! Poured deep brown with a whipped, well-retained cap of tan head.. sticky, slowly cascading lacing rolled down the sides of the glass.. beautiful! The aroma was well on the sweet side, with lightly-roasted sweeter chocolates, molasses, and cane sugar.. brown sugar showed itself with warmth.. as did just the faintest hint of toasted coconut which got this another point. The flavor was centered around brown sugar and toasty cocoa.. molasses and singed toffee roll over the sides, and a substantial smoky coffee bitterness emerged at the long, roasty finish. Medium-plus bodied with a long impression on the finish.. balance was solid.. this was a tasty brew! BeerVirgin72 (880) - Pickerington, Ohio, USA - MAR 17, 2008

Appearance: Pours a near black body with a thin, bubbly, off-white head. Let’s Rapadou this!
Smell: Light, sweetish aroma of dark malts, chocolate, charred sugars, and roast.
Taste: Dark chocolatey maltiness with a good amount of sugary caramel sweetness. Hint of fruit. Very slight roasty, earthy bitterness. Puff of smoke. A little rebound of the earthy roastiness for the finish.
Mouthfeel: A bit above medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Boy, I’ll tell ya. This is a pretty tasty porter.
