appearance: clear brassy copper, creamy near-white head that shrinks to a full ring. aroma: wet oak, raspberry, funk, lemon verbena. taste: tart and funky up front, with notes of sharp balsamic vinegar, unripe plum, and raspberry; under that is some cheese, wood, and yeast. finish: lingering tartness, slightly sour, very carbonated so nearly astringent on the back end. notes: Pretty refreshing, and surprisingly good. On tap at the Water Street Grille on the waterfront in Yorktown, VA. Dark hazy copper-orange with a foamy resilient off-white head with stringy lacing. Aroma of sour apple, citrus and flowers. Tastes medium sour and fruity. Medium bodied. Well done.

3.0 A: Cooper peach opacity for color. A short, fizzy beige head forms and quickly falls. No real lacing left.
4.5 S: Really nice nose on this. Funky and fruity - the best of both. Big peach, plenty of plum next, and mixed berry underneath. The funk is intertwined in the fruitiness giving a lactic acid type aroma. There’s a little barnyard funk, but it’s complementary rather than dominant. There’s also so outdoor apple orchard funk in there too. Sweet toasty malts underneath. Very nice.
4.0 T: The taste is good as well, but it lacks the punch found in the nose. Again peach, plum, and berry fruits. Tangy lactic acid funk without much acetic acid at all. Apple orchard funk predominates with slight barnyard and many a hint of a sweatsock.
4.75 M: Awesome MF on this. Medium body. Good moderate carbonation with a silky creaminess to it. Supremely smooth.
4.75 D: Because this isn’t too intense in terms of acidity, this is supremely drinkable. It’s too bad they put this in a 500ml instead of 750. Great flavors (especially for people like me to value funk over sourness), great nose, awesome mouthfeel. Really good overall brew.

500ml bottle pours cloudy soft red brown with a small fizzy head. Nose is musty wet oak, red grape, dark tart cherry, soft funk, slight vinegar Flanders note. Taste is similar to nose with nice interlay of wet oaky wood funk and tart vinous berry and cherry fruit. Finishes with medium acidity, woody vanilla, toasted oak spice and some light bready grain.
