Bottle pours with a murky deep copper body that supports a thin near white head. The aroma offers up malty sappy pine hops and little else. The taste delivers a nice blend of bitter pine hops and then sweeter malts. To midway it gets a little floral in hops as well as lingering bitter pine hops. Tasted on the cold side but pretty tasty. hershiser2 (3055) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - OCT 20, 2016
Tap at tap house. Yummy citrus hop

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2016 22 oz bottle from Wegmans in Short Pump, VA The Imperial IPA poured a cloudy Amber color with a big frothy off white head and lacing. Very nice head retention. This is a wonderful IPA.. Nice citrus aroma with a hint of pine. The taste is full of warming hop bitterness muted a bit by the higher ABV. The medium body ale has average carbonation. Bitterness is solid, but gentle enough not to throw the sip off-kilter. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 5, 2016
Draft. Medium beige head with nice lacing atop hazy amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some lemon. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some grape, orange, light pineapple. Medium body, some resin, light effervescence.

Bottle. The aroma is insanely rich with fruity hops, I canít wait to dive in. Itís also a seductive pour, richly orange, with a big, sudsy head. The first swig is very "dirty," with a bit of grittiness. As this warms and settles a bit, it can mostly be idenitied as a warming, boozy, and bigly (if thatís a word) hoppy beer, living up to the AleWerks rep. On tap at Mekong, glad to be able to try it. Poured golden, nice head. Big hoppy aroma, lots of citrus, tropical fruit, slight pine. I have been getting this profile quite a bit lately, and Iím not complaining. Dry crackery malts. Very similar in a lot of ways to the Gaffer that I had just had. Well done, liked it a lot. radagast83 (8011) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - AUG 8, 2016
22oz bottle. Poured a beautiful golden orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was a sharp hoppy aroma of citrus and pine resin. Incredibly tasty with a mild malt sweetness and a juicy hop character. Alcohol is in there, but itís really smooth and easy to drink. This beer was amazing. solidfunk (8838) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - AUG 7, 2016
