2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
341ml brown bottle. Golden colour, fluffy white head which collapses rather soon after pouring. Not much lacing. Aroma is sweet, fruity, some bread and grain. Flavour is grainy, lightly fruity. Bready finish, light hop notes, grass. Medium body, average carbonation. About what I expected, did not hate this.
Bottle. 5%. Another keiths blonde, to join their supposed IPA. Nothing that would have me serving this in my Olympus or Valhalla however. Plain jane macro blonde ale with no distinctive malt or hop character to speak of. Mild floral, soft fruit aromas.

341ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a generous white head that settles slowly leaving only a few spots of lacing. Aroma is mild with some grain and floral hops. Taste is light malty sweetness with a touch of yeast and a light hop bitterness in the finish. A light body and adequate carbonation give a good enough tingle on the palate. A slightly above macrobrew appeal. Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 17, 2011
After that horrific misadventure with that "Kristallweizen" a few minutes ago, lets go with something safe. You can’t get much safer than Stella/InBev, as everything tastes the same. But what ho? This is the new Seasonal from InBev’s favorite Canadian micro-pretender: Alexander Keith’s! The company with the funny adds, with the Scotsman who really like Keiths, and kiddie porn! Ah well, let’s try to give this one a fair shake: Bottled sample, at home, from my trusty Maudite glass. Did you know that I got this particular Maudite glass a mer 48 hours before breaking my old Maudite glass? True Story! Anyway - Pours clear golden/orange, 2-finger snow white head, moderately long-lived, lacing is poor though. Nose is clean grain, a touch of creamy "cold cream wheat" some light lavnder, and a solid hit of corn. Flavours are inoffensive, some overripe banana, clean malt, a bit earthy; boiled vegetables come out to play pretty aggressively as this warms up though, which is unfortunate, because otherwise, this really wasn’t that bad. cfrancis (3446) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 6, 2011
Better than the normal Keith’s fare but still a far cry from a proper beer. Yellow fizzy beer with malt flavouring. Boring.

App.: Clear deep golden with a fair white foam.
Aroma: Grain/cereal, somewhat fruity, oddly sweet.
Palate: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
Flav.: A little biscuit, fruity, grain/cereal, oddly sweet, a bit floral/perfumed; dry with minimal bitterness and a strangely sweet/perfumed/floral finish.
Drink of the gods? Not even close.
Canette 500ml.

Two new Keith’s brew showed up at my Metro store recently. This one and the Harvest Ale. Rating both tonight. I have to say that if patio weather beer is what they wanted out of this one, we kind of got it a bit late (as summer is over). I found if funny to see this one come out... after Rickard’s released a blonde as well this summer. Pours a slight hazy amber-blonde colour with a big frothy head, great retention and lacing. Aromas of spices (almost light cinnamon) coming from the light hop with some grainy malts. Oily mouthfeel with a bread taste blended with herbal spices. Usually, I prefer these commercial swills from the bottle, but this one seems a bit better from the glass. Still think I prefer the Rickard’s though (but this one from the bottle). mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2011
