2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
My Bottom Line:
This underhopped Pale Ale Ale pushes forth tame floral and leafy notes atop lean caramel.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam floats atop the misty pale amber.
-Bitterness is shallow.
-Execution is not better than that of an average homebrew. Not very impressive for such a huge brewery.
-This may be more flavorful than the average macro brew, but the hop intensity is so mild one wonders why they are trying to make people focus on it.
-Their tv ad is truly gorgeous though, you have to give’em that.
At James St. Pub, pint arrived with a thin layer of head and has a pale golden amber appearance. Has some patchy lacing. Mild aromas of nutty and toasty mslts as well as citrus and light floral hops. Flavours of mild bitter hops and a slight citrus hop taste. Almost like a rusty type aftertaste, from roasted malts. Better than the regular Keith’s, but not much more to write home about. Somewhat disappointing. laurenspoons (12) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 25, 2016
It’s good but nothing special. Hop flavour is diverse and reasonably strong. Eventually becomes a tad excessive. Not terrible but wouldn’t do again. Lubiere (13994) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 29, 2016
An orange amber ipa with a thick collapsing mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light grassy floral hops, reminiscent of the west coast, OK. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with light resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light cloying sweetness, but I was expecting worse. Can from LCBO. radiomgb (2686) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 27, 2016
473ml can. Deep golden orange in colour with a thin white head, light lacing. The aroma is light hopped with lots of caramel sweetness. The flavour again has a bit of hops but the caramel is just too much. Sweet mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes long, sweet. Too much caramel in this. Its close.

Canned at a blue jays game. Slightly hazy, huge off-white head. Aroma hoppy but plastic. The cascade flowery aroma is missing. The taste is fresh, not strong hops for an iPa but the finish is decent. kaser (6314) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 6, 2015
Can at blue jays stadium. Mild hops and a little bitter. Fruity and malty. This and the galaxy aren't much different crossovert (13080) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 28, 2015
473ml can. Clear golden pour, soapy industrial-looking head. Sweet aroma, vague hops. Flavor is spicy, almost cinnamon, no malt, interesting taste actually, not the worst. Bamsen78 (5453) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUL 13, 2015
Bottle. Pours nearly clear amber with airy off-white head. Mild but clear aroma of malt and fruit, with notes of hops and yeast and touches of needles. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish notes of yeast and malt and notes of needles. Rough aftertaste with estery and mildly bitter notes. The best beer of the brewery’s hop series but still far from the ideal. Meilby (11517) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 15, 2015
Can 473ml @ Hotel room, Weber’s, Ann Arbor, MI
Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and citrus. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long caramel and citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
