pintbypint (3834) - Edmonton, Alberta, - MAY 3, 2011
341ml brown bottle. Pours out an orange shade, thin white head vanishes fast leaving only a light skiff off bubbles on the surface, no lace. Nose is sweet and fruity, scents that stand out are orange and caramel. Flavour has caramel, almost totfee, fruity malts. Flat finish, no real lingering aftertaste. Did not find a slightly smoky finish. Medium body, strong carboantion. Better than I had expected, but i won’t really miss this one when it goes.

Bottle. I found this to be one of the better offerings from Keiths. Taste of light bread, caramel, and a little smokiness. More of medium oily body on this one. Not bad, would have again if it is my best option at a bar.

bulldogops (2907) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 21, 2013
Another stylistic Keiths trainwreck. 6 pack seasonal (341ml bottles). Amber pour with a creamy white foam that recedes slowly. Aroma is peat smoke, grassiness, and burnt/toasted malts. Taste is boozy, even at 6.1%, an alcoholic warmth, and has a greasy, buttery malt character that doesn’t gain anything from the scotch/smokiness. Just awful.

JHunter (772) - British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 20, 2012
Pours a amber colour with slim head. aroma is caramel malts and flavour similar but bit watered down

473ml can pours amber in color with about 2 fingers of off-white head that settles down to a few spots of lacing. Aroma is light caramel and hops. Taste is malty sweet with a hint of smokiness and a mild hoppy bitter finish. Light to medium body with soft carbonation, this is a slightly above macrobrew quality.

[3863-20110806] 473mL can. Walnut plastic grains aroma. Clear, amber orange body with a quick foamy yellow head. Sweet grainy nut flavour has a lasting nutgrain. Medium body. Fair. (5/3/4/2/10) 2.4
Overheard: "It’s smart to drink them cold."

2011-08-05. Crisp amber body with a small beige head. 3+ Flavour is odd, sweet malt with an earthy sort of smokey hints to it. Peat? 5+ Mild aroma of sweet caramel with a similar earthy malt character as in the aroma. 5+ Average plus palate. Bit watery at times, the flavours don’t quite come together. Better than expected, but not for me. Can from PEI Liquor Store, Borden

northropfrye (3693) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 25, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 21, 2011 Can. Not a good beer from Alexander Keith’s. Amber and a little smoky but kind of bland overall.

DuffMan (10667) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 16, 2011
Bottle. Medium tea colored amber, off white head with decent retention. Sweet buttery toffee aroma and flavor, a little butterscotch. Nice flavor density, even if lacking in complexity. More of an english strong ale, but not bad.

Viper666 (3289) - Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 12, 2011
Canette 473ml.
