Bottle. Pours a deep golden, with an average white head. aroma is skunky, grassy hops and slightly toasty cereal. Flavour is much the same, with the pale malts standing out notably compared to North American pale lagers. This reminds me of what Heineken used to be, 20 years ago when it was still an import, before it became a derivative shitty contract-brewed fuck-up of a pale lager. This gave me nostalgia and satisfaction, which is more than I can say for 95% of the pale lagers I’ve had.

LoFi (1718) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 26, 2010
UPDATED: SEP 27, 2012 Can from Crete supermarket. Pale golden, paler than the draught version. Aroma: sweet malt, lemons. Taste: quite a lot of flavour compared to some of the other lagers here. Semi-sweet maltiness, citrus and grapes, light bready, low bitterness. Together with Amstel, this is one of the beers that worked the best with the food and climate. Didn’t rate the draught when I had it, but that was better.
