COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ΑΛΦΑ ΖΥθΟΣ. Traditional Greek. 100% Greek barley.

Alfa Hellenic Beer is a lager beer, with 5% alcohol content with its authentic Greek name and origin, that make it more familiar to Greeks and non-Greeks around the world. It is refreshing, easy to drink and brings to ones memory the authentic taste of Greece!

Alfas unique light gold color and rich foam is the ultimate pleasure-maker. It is made of high quality natural ingredients (water, barley malt, hops and yeast) and its packaging is distinctive, with the bottle being a more modern version of the original Alfa bottle.

Pours a piss-colored dark straw from a bottle. Skunky sweet aroma and flavor, really quite sweet which I wasnt prepared for. Ugh.

Thanks Cero! Shared with heavy. Poured a nice golden body with a lasting small head. Dusty, grainy, honeyish, even slightly flowery aroma. Not bad, if slightly messy. Taste... strange dry oily honey notes, light, light propolis and a herbal touch. Prickly and ending dry. Strange really, but OK, not sure what to think of it overall.

can to paper cup on board, Aegean Airlines, 8.12.16. Big white head. A little corn, warm grain and some grass in the nose, alcoholic bitter-sweetness, getting worse by the sip. Light body, unpleasing sweetish finish.

Piwo złociste, klarowne, piana z początku nawet ładna, ale szybko znika. Typowy jasny lager, wyraźnie estrowe, goryczka zerowa.

Reading my travel journal from Greece in 2014 - found all my beer reviews from then. Sitting in Rhodes on a patio near Kolona harbour. Alfa is better than Mythos with a light dryness, mild grassy and light spice note. Crisp and refreshing but boring, bland. Not offputting.

Draft 0.33l at Tsi Tsi Glyfada, Greece. 24.07.2016. Pour it clear golden color with small white head. Aroma grainy. Taste watery, easy drinkable, kind of malty, nice refreshing for hot summer weather.

Sampled on draught at holiday hotel in Crete. Fairly standard euro-lager, but slightly stronger than most. Good appearance with a golden colour and a healthy white head. Decent malty taste, but little bitterness or aftertaste. Very pleasant on a hot day by the swimming pool.
