Draught @ Stearin. Pours very hazy pale golden with a small frothy white head that leaves some sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity, herbal and floral with crackers, grapefruit juice, gooseberries, freshly cut grass, star fruit, passionfruit, mango, orange zest, lemon zest, pine needles, black currants, dried flowers and dry wood. Taste is bitter, fruity and herbal with crackers, star fruit, grapefruit juice, pine needles, gooseberries, black currant leaves, moist soil, lemon zest, freshly cut grass, lemon balm, grapefruit rinds, cape gooseberries, pineapple, unripe mango and subtle hints of chives. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, clean, slightly astringent, slightly oily bitter and medium bodied. Finish is bitter, slightly fruity, herbal and lasts forever with crackers, grapefruit rinds, star fruit, passionfruit, black currant leaves, pine needles, freshly cut grass, lemon balm, dill, and lemon grass. San Diego perfection and their best yet. Could drink this all day so it’s another homie rating for me. rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 27, 2013
Draught at Stearing, Göteborg.
Hazy golden colour with average-sized foam. Huge hop aroma with apricot and pineapple up front followed up with gentle Italian herbs and snus. Mouthfeel is smooth and the hop character is really, really good. Freshness plays a big role here. The hop profile in flavour is somewhat fantastic. Rich, intense, yummy without being too much, wihere it otherwise would get harsh and papery bitter/dry. Malt profile is there, yet light. Bitterness is medium to high. This is a classic West Coast IPA with really good balance. There are 2 reasons for this: freshness and a solid recipe. Cheers! fiulijn (20498) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 9, 2013
Draught at Söder om Småland, Malmösschwab (48) - London, ENGLAND - JAN 26, 2014
Cloudy golden color with large head. Fruity aroma, citrusy and tropical. Dry mouthfeel, fruity, mango and fox grape; correctly strong bitterness. Lovely.
On tap at Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell 24th Jan 14. Whilst wallowing in the luxury of choice at craft beer co, I started to worry about my appetite to keep trying new beers when most disappoint, particularly at a point where the bigger breweries are rebranding a load of their existing stuff. Then I had a half of this. It was magical. Light and cloudy west coast single IPA with a great citrussy aroma (I got pink grapefruit). Fruity and hoppy taste backed up with a well balanced bitter lingering finish. Maintains a brilliant lightness throughout which belies the strong ABV. One to savour. ekstedt (6775) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 20, 2013
