Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a dark brown color with orange tinges and a small soapy tan head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was sweetish and a touch boozy with notes of orange, cherry and nutmeg. The flavor was a bit tart with notes of toffee, nut, toasted caramel, orange, berry, clove and hints of banana, wood and pepper. Long finish of toffee, caramel, orange and berry. Moderately full bodied with just a bit of alcohol showing through. Tasty. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 23, 2013
This poured a semi cloudy medium to dark red color with a beige head. Aroma was of light spice, pine, caramel, and toasted malts. Flavor was thick and chewy and malty, some nuttiness, light roaste and some dark fruits. Not bad.
