Draft at Churchkey. Pretty hazy peach pour, small frothy head. Nose and flavor have a beautiful combination of nectarine, bread, light cherry notes, and some really lovely touches of smoke; not nearly as aggressive as beechwood. Smooth and drinkable, a nice variant of Allagash Tripel. I diggg it.

On tap at The Pony Bar. Not sure what the beards refers too - hope there aren’t any in the brew. This is a fine tripel with floral and cherry notes, and it finishes pleasantly dry. A very interesting collaboration.

Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear golden color with a thin frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of smoke, candi sugar and herbal notes. The taste is smoke, spicy notes and bready malts. Medium bodied. Nice.

Draught. Low fluffy white lasting head. Hazy light yellow body. Dusty hay grass smoke aroma. Apple pear peach lemon smoke flavor very well balanced. Alcohol nicely subdued. Low carbonation. Low bitterness. Short sweet finish.

On tap at p house, pours a hazy golden color with bubbly white head. Lacing was minimal with a good bit of carbonation. Aromas and taste of apples, smoked and roasted malts, bread, spicy grains, peach, and wood. Finish is bone dry and med bodied. First time I have ever enjoyed a de molen product in my home state of NJ. Maybe they will start sending stuff without having to do a collaboration.

Rune (12803) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 26, 2013
200ml served rather chilled from tap at Mikkeller & Friends. Remaining low, white head. Unclear golden body. Smoked malts up front to the nose with fruity notes beneath. A quite successfully blended taste of fruits, honey sweetness and smoke. Bittersweet ending, long lived. Well bodied with the alcohol well hidden. Pleasing stuff (Copenhagen, 22.03.2013).

From tap @Mikkeller & Friends. Unclear yellow golden body. Small white head. Spicy, light sourish-sweet fruit aroma. Grassy notes and a whiff of smoke. Faint smoky flavor, paired with a fine fruitiness and some sweet-accenteted malts. Well-bodied. Light sweet and hop-bitter finish. Nicely balanaced and very tasty. [26.03.13

Wanted to do a half pour, but Leon’s wasn’t having it, so I gave half away to my server. Perhaps I will be rewarded with some beer karma. Pours barely darker than a lager with good head and lacing. The scent of cloves permeates your nostrils like you have just walked into mountain antique shop. The sweet, bitter, and spiciness blend together well in this very original brew. Draft - Leon’s Full Service - Decatur, GA

An interesting tripel. Nose is smoke and spices, taste follows the same pattern. Good body, some alcohol taste. Smoke permeates and comes to the front, with a nice spicy alcoholic kick following. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
