toast, floral, amber, hazy, minimal head, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, creamy, flat,
i had this on tap at good beer in nyc. it was very well rounded, with delicate, subtle complexities of honey notes, fruitiness and oak playing in concert with its relatively mild sourness. there’s a substantial malty body keeping the beer in balance and centered. jmilo64 (42) - Maine, USA - APR 7, 2013
from notes on 10/25/2012, served in small 25cl Allagash glass at Mama’s Crowbar happy hour only $4. A bit cloudy amber, nice foam head. Nose is a bit of Belg yeast not strong. Taste is sweet and creamy, reminds me of Curieux (I think, it’s been a while). Some alcohol present, a bit of sour funk toward the end. This ones a bit thick, some sticks to the back of the throat and sits there, a water on the side could help. craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 23, 2013
Draft at Churchkey. Cloudy golden pour. Nose and flavor are marked with big sweet honey and apricot character, touches of barrel in the form of vinous fruit and sweet vanilla hints. Not crazy aggressive or complex, but a really nice flavor profile. Good stuff. Iphonephan (6946) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - JAN 21, 2013

Draft at Blind Tiger with Linh and Andy. Pours a bright amber orange body with thin white lacing. Aroma is sweet, light honey and flowers. Mouthfeel is medium with a bit of a bite, definitely can see where the mead barrel comes into play here - with notes of honey, belgian spice, candy, floral flavors and light fruit. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 14, 2012
Tap at the Blind Tiger. Floral, light nose, a touch of wildflower honey and cranberry. Green melon. The honey really comes through in the flavor, surprisingly, but the finish is over sweet in malt. Fairly unexciting. j12601 (10871) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - SEP 14, 2012
Pouring at Belgian Beer Fest. Pours a hazed golden amber with a medium to large sized white to yellow head. Big musk, yeast on the nose. Big, not too sweet, grain, toast. Warm and bready with some noticeable alcohol present. Long yeasty phenols, musky yeast, more light alcohol peaking through. Tasty. Travlr (24262) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 8, 2012
Belgian Beer Fest Boston. Murky amber color, small tan head. Aroma of flowery brown bread dough. Taste starts with floral straw then sweet honet. Very nice.
