Cloudy blond color. The aroma is sour, puckery, with dirty feet, cheese, ass, dung; good or bad? Pleasant in the beginning, suspicious a few minutes later. High carbonation, good sour flavor, lemony, with very light cherry presence, kernels, evident astringence. The final reminds bitter lemon peels. It still has to aspire to the elegance of a true Belgian beer, but the idea of brewing a strong beer is interesting, and the wild fermentation works quite well (besides some minor flaw).
But, surely, a beer to try.
Bottle split at Level 42, big thanks to Bropey from Croyloon, 24/05/16.
Hazed orange with reddish hues topped with a washed out crimson swirl.
Nose is light fecal notes, tarte cherry, funk, pissy straw, apple core, light lemon roulade.
Taste comprises bitter cherry, funk, barnyard, light spice, wood must, bramble berry pips, damp hay, light acidic bite.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, puckering rise and acidic melodrama in the close.
Solid, well balanced Lambic, has aged well, nice acidity level, sharp but not overwhelming.
