[2/5/17] Bottle at Amit’s place in Poughkeepsie. Thanks Amit. Red, slightly pinkish head. Great juicy raspberries aroma, with funk, oak, some cobwebs. Sour flavor, juicy, oak, vanilla note, acetic note. Medium-bodied. Slightly too acidic, but still great stuff.

Shared from bottle thanks to Maakun! Hazy coral red with no head retention. Fruity and Cantillon-like nose and aroma’s. Raspberries, fruitstones, cherries, brier, grapes, rose and white wine. Lactic sour. Hay, barnyard, cobwebs. Big fruity sweetness, quite strong sour and fruitstone bitter. Medium body, minerallike and fruitjuice feel. Very tasty, very fruity.

Bottle shared. Hazy dark pink to light red with light pink fizzy head that leaves no trace. Lots of tart raspberries, soft red wine, oak, hay, funk, light lactic. Quite fruity and lots of hay, but also light cellar dank funk, and some sweet milky notes. Medium sour and some underlying sweetness, with soft bitter grassy finish. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Very nice, close to Cantillon Rosé, though slightly more lactic and vinous and less fruity. Well done

Bottled 12/21/2015, drunk 6/25/16.
Deep, bright, raspberry-red with light auburn and magenta hues. High clarity and a pink-flecked, light beige head showing strong retention.
It’s very interesting to see the same beer (with different fruit additions) and the same bottling date (as the recent Coolship Cerise) have such a distant (relatively speaking) release date (some 3 months apart). But that’s "lambic" for you.
Luscious, juicy raspberries are boisterous and acidic in the nose, with tons of fleshy character and a good phenolic, seed-character to dry it out. Vanilla, wood, citrus and mild lactic-acetic qualities all show a wonderfully balanced nose that doesn’t go overboard on the fruit. No alcohol or flaw.
A medium body, replete with wheat-like textures and a very engaging, fine carbonation. Some light sweetness remains and balances the fruit and bacteria acidity nicely. Not overly funky, but much more reserved/elegant than a typical American sour. Raspberries are one of my least favorite fruit additions for beer, as I feel they dominate the beer and provide too much acidity often, but this is about as good as it gets for this fruit.

bottle at Matts, tons of tart fresh cherry flavor, deep sweeet tartness, great. Like a homemade cherry pie.

37.5cl bottle at Nacht van de Grote Dorst 2016 in Itterbeek (22 IV 2016), shared with a friend. Pale lipstick red coloured American geuze with very sharp sour notes coming from the raspberries. I’m fond on this acidity, overwhelming the brett features, even resembling lingering vinegar notes. The fruity flavours make me think of red currant berries too. Just lovely. Sour, but a fair quencher.

375 ml bottle @ Nacht van de Grote Dorst 2016. Unclear, red body with a small pink head. Strange to see how the Rasberry version becomes much more deep red than the kriek version side by side, normally its opposite but the aroma confirms it’s the correct label. Anyway, a fine raspberry aroma with relatively mild funk, Brett and wood. Same goes for the flavor, the raspberries is a bit in the background even if the the Brett, funk and wood is rather mild presented. Not too acidic either, some lacto acidity and sour fruit/berries more than vinegar here. Very easy drinkable, fine balance and balanced body with a decent aftertaste. Slightly unusually for the style in a good way. Interesting.

Trübes orange rotes Bier mit einer geringen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch sehr fruchtig, rote Beeren, leicht säuerlich. Geschmack nach grapefruit, rote Beeren, leicht säuerlich, kratzig.

Pink grapefruit color with big white head. Aroma is raspberries, fresh-funky. Taste is raspberry, lacto, yoghurt, so fruity. Dry and sour. A bit overcarbonated. Could be a masterpiece if it weren’t for the high carbonation.
