Shared 12.7 oz. bottle poured to snifters showing a hazed, orangey/gold color, with a modest layer of soft white froth, and light spots of lacing. The nose was light funk, tart and fruity, with esters as citrus, pit fruit, berries & apple. Medium bodied, with pleasant spritz to the effervescence, the taste was similar, tart to sour, with cooperative tannins to the astringent and lightly dry finish. dnstone (4032) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - FEB 7, 2018
Pours a pale golden with white head. Very tart sour-apple aroma and taste.

Pours cloudy golden with flat head. Aroma of grapes, grass, green apples, very crisp and fresh. Taste is mellow apple tart up front, bit of grapes, fairly rich ripe apples in the finish. Light and smooth body average carbonation. Drinkable, for sure! Rask0lnikov (1609) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 26, 2017
Pours golden yellow colour. Moderate white head. Vanilla, some spices, herbal, slightly cheesy, marzipany, even nutty notes in the aroma. Marzipan, vanilla, goodeberries, grapeskins, acidity, soicy notes in the taste. Spiceness, slight acidity, hop character in the aftertaste. Slight sweetness as well. Complex, rather medium bodied, super complex geuze. MartinT (10239) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 24, 2017
My Bottom Line:

Haystacks and citrus fruit meet minty hops and tart apples in this balanced and refined Wild Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy straw blond.
-Citrus character is reminiscent of freshly squeezed juice, pulp and all.
-Drinkability is quite high.
-Carbonation is prickly and helps smooth out the edges.
-This is complex and drinkable. Great job!
Highly carbonated from the get go. Tart and sour apples in the aroma. Some light grains and berries too. Not over acidic aroma, bit on the sweet side. Color is a hazy golden orange. Very lively in the mouth. Medium sourness with lots of lemon zest, oak, dried grains and sour grapes. Mild alcohol presence. Moderate tartness but decent balance by the malty sweetness to balance the brew out and not make it a pucker bomb. Finishes a tad dry and tart. markducommun (1232) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 25, 2017

Bottle from the brewery: pours clear gold with loose head. Aroma is funky yeasts, basements, light touch of fruit, and some tree. Taste is moderately sour. Pretty complex. Doesn’t scream gueze but recognizable as such. Dry. Pleasant and easy to drink. As usual, a good beer from Allagash.
