Pours a hazy golden orange with a fizzy head that quickly dissipates. The aroma is a delicious candied and dried fruit with subtle hints of vanilla and bourbon. The taste and mouthfeel starts with a light fruity bitterness "pop" on the back of your tongue from the carbonation with a sweet bready malt base. Hints of citrus and apple with mild oak, vanilla, and bourbon on the finish. The presence of alcohol is noticeable with each sip. Overall a very good beer but i was expecting something a bit heavier with more smokey characteristics. Very drinkable for the high ABV.

Bottle sample at a tasting at zvsns place. Thanks Alon. Golden with white head and lots of particles. The aroma has lots of wood, yeasts, vanilla and flowers. Sweet flavor with notes of yeasts, wood, bourbon, flowers, vanilla, alcoholic, a bit lactic, bitterish. Medium to full-bodied. Great.

Bottle sample at a tasting, thanks Alon. Hazy yellow with a huge head. Aroma of wood, vanilla, Brett, wine, yeast, spices and overripe fruits. Sweet, spicy, vanilla, fruity esters, bourbon, oak, finish is mild bitter. Medium-bodied, oily and creamy. Strong and boozy but complex and balanced.

Medium, cloudy blonde with a medium white head. Aroma is simplistic with malts leading the way; some subtle light fruit sweetness & spice in the back. Flavors are what youd expect from a standard tripel (malt backbone, bananas, fruit esters, white pepper) and not much more despite its time in barrels. Medium body & moderate carbonation. While being approachable and very drinkable, it lacks complexity. Instead of 8 weeks, it really shouldve stayed in bourbon barrels for 8 months. Its too expensive for what it is; falls short when compared to other non-BA tripels in lower price points!

Bottle, 650ml. Sparkling golden, small creamy offwhite head. Complex aromas of citrus, Belgian yeast, spices, wood, light tart. Medium bodied, fizzyish carbonation. Thin and bone dry, yet creamy. Harsh alcohol flavors and finish.

Sampled on draught at The Side Door, Chicago. This version is billed as 11% ABV. A clear champagne/straw colour and a rich malty aroma. The texture is thick and creamy. Some Bourbon in the taste. Lots of boozy alcohol, and some vanilla bean, banana and dried fruit flavour. Good, bitter finish. I would expect a slightly more spiciness for a beer made with Belgian yeast in this style. An extremely well-made and enjoyable beer.

Draft at First Draft in Chicago. Slightly hazy golden pour. The aroma is yeasty esters, oak, bourbon. This is a spritzy, alcoholic triple with grassy hops, lots of fruit, and just a hint of bourbon and wood, not really much. Pretty standard.
