Blind tasting at Papsoes place, another great session, thanks Henrik! Beer #29: Pours hazy yellow to orange with fully diminished white head. Lime to citrusy hops aroma. Flavour is light caramel malt nicely blended with a delicate citrusy hoppy flavour. Light yeasty touch into the finish followed by a nice lingering hops finish. The falvor is sweet mlaty with fruity notes of peaches, citrysy notes of hops as well as light notes of alcohol, leading to a dry bitter finish. joergen (28177) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 21, 2008

Very subdued bitterness with a somewhat astringent, herbal finish. 190408 madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2012

Hazy amber beer. Dry frothy palate. Immediate vegetable spice that dominates the creamy malt. A bit like ginger but it’s not ginger! Frothy in the mouth, it finishes dry with some warmth. As so often with Allagash - interesting but not quite inspiring.
Cloudy golden-orange colour. The aroma is herbal, spicy (mint, chamomile, cinnamon) and toasty with breadcrusty malts and rye. Huge herbal character - must be the yarrow - with lots of chewy rye, full maltiness. Big and rounded with a peppery finish. Very unique, well-balanced brew with accents of both Belgium and gruit. Impressive effort, muddled only by a slighlty overt yeastiness. bhensonb (15251) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 9, 2013
