750ml bottle. Light floaties, good sized white head, orange colour, lots of carbo. Citrus and pepper corn (but not black pepper) aroma, not especially strong. Spice in the back of the taste with the flavour but not the burn, the experience builds with each mouthful. The peppercorn taste lingers Thick, dray and creamy body. Maybe not an everyday beer, but fun as a unique bottle. Not as accessible as the Route des Épices. Would go nicely with stake. DiarmaidBHK (4797) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 3, 2013
Draft at Tyler’s Taproom Raleigh. Pours golden with a half inch of white foam. Leaves a little bit of lacing in the glass. Has some solid peppery notes on the nose and tongue but nothing that’s knocking my socks off. I like this years Fluxus much more. 1FastSTi (3360) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 16, 2013
Effervescent golden body with a tall frothy starch white head. Aroma is very nicely peppery and almost saison like. Reminds me of Temecula, California. Saison like with hay and subtle pepper. Mostly clean palate is medium bodied. Crisp carbonation. Very easy drinking. Just wish it wasn’t $23... argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 15, 2013

Smells like a saison, lot of all spice. Very complex beer, has a lot of spice in the taste and something prominent that I’m unsure of what it is. This is my first beer of this style. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 26, 2013

Flavors are mildly spicy, black pepper, nice bready malt profile, relatively clean, lightly floral. Medium carbonation, somewhat dry, with a touch of alcohol perceived sweetness in the finish. hopsandvines (61) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - JUL 18, 2013

Pours hazy straw color, nice marshmallow head, aroma is complex, yeasty, subtle pepper, Belgian/ Saison character. Flavor is full yet dry on the finish, Lively carbonation,Flavor is Saison like with wedding cake, spice, pepper, Pils malt, herbs, hops and much more! Nice, drink em if you got em...Rated by [email protected]
Pours a rich golden color with a big frothy two finger foam. Lots of peppercorn, belgian spice and phenols in this one. Taste just like I assumed it would just a bit to spicy of a saison style for me. Nice mouthfeel and execution just a bit heavy on the earthy spice from both the spelt and peppercorns. Poured into an allagash like chalice glass.
A: Looks interesting. Hazy golden dandellion color. Thick white head.
S: Smells interesting as well. Musty. Earthy. Tangy. Hint of citrus. lemon. orange.
T: Tastes better than I expected. Earthy. Spicy. It really tastes like a saison... probably on account of the peppercorns. Finish is piney.
P; Very smooth on the palate. Carbonation is smooth and the beer has a great flavor development.
Overall this is a pretty solid beer. very interesting in flavor. Not sure if I’d get it again but that just my preference.
