Remarkably subtle and light for such a big saison, with a modest vanilla-clove sweetness accented by ginger and lemon notes. Grows slightly funky and tart on the finish, with a bright oaked herbaceous vein accenting the lingering yeasty fade. Pours a gorgeous straw gold with a giant white head and infinite lacing. Nose is yeast, oak, and gin. Sparkly texture is good but a tad too carbonated for such a potent farmhouse ale. Tasty. hman43 (1976) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - JAN 19, 2018
