Pours a mostly opaque dark brown colour with a tiny tan head. Nose is sour, light funk, and oak character. Flavour is like a dark sour saison with a slight roasted finish. Honey is non-existent, I suppose it was fermented out.
Bottle - Earthy and cherry dark soured notes. Deep brown with a light brown head. Nice tart dark notes with lots of earth. Ok. Oakes (18167) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 27, 2016
Dark brown. Thin head. The aroma is dark sour, with stewed fruit and light vinous notes, along with a lot of woody character. Moderate tartness on the palate, earthy dark malts with cherry, light blueberry, lots of wood, and of course a fair bit of brettanomyces. This is actually not bad for a dark sour, owing to the strong brett character, intense woodiness, mcberko (18389) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 27, 2016
375mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of woody oak upfront, followed by earth, some very dry dark fruits, and light presence of unsweetened dark cocoa. Flavour is very earthy and dry, with tons of dark farmhouse yeast, earth, wood, and a little salt. Very earthy, woody and yeasty in the best ways possible. No hint of honey, as it must all be fermented out. As great as a dark saison / sour can be. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - DEC 22, 2016
bottle, this is bad, completely unbalanced. This is a sour stout. Ahh so weird. Sweet roasty and vinagrette salad dressing.
