On tap at Novare 5/26. Really liked this one. At least...that’s what the notes say :-P. Golden blonde with whipped up frothy head. Light and effervescent, but it’s got enough backbone to stand up. Lemon-y, Citrus-y a tad sweet, sounds like an arnold palmer or something, but it’s not. It’s Indigenuts!
Found notes from Night of the Funk 2012. Grapefuit, lemon, apple skin, wet wood, vinegar, pie crust. oteyj (2139) - New Hampshire, USA - SEP 9, 2012
On tap at the Night of the Funk 2012. Big citrus peel with a doughy body that never compromises crispness. Nice spice character in the finish. Yum yum. Travlr (24758) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 8, 2012
Love the name. Night of the Funk. Hazy yellow color, medium white head. Aroma of peach and lemon. Taste is dusty lemons and grapefruit. rudolf (2360) - Buffalo, New York, USA - SEP 12, 2011
Tap @ BBF:NOTF. Lemon , cherries with a nice malt character to back it up. Very bright, very nice. A bit of barnyard in the finish. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - MAY 20, 2011
Reviewed from notes.
Pours a nice golden color with a good white head and a bit of lacing on the way down. The nose brings forward a good amount of cider plus some spice and nice notes of citrus peel. Flavor brings a bit of spice as well as some apples, orange, and a bit of white pepper. Mouthfeel is nice and crisp with good carbonation. Really a nice and unique beer all around; cheers to Allagash.

How: Tap at Extreme Beer Fest 2011
The look: Almost clear yellow body topped by a long-lasting small white head
In long: Nose is tart fruits with a little rustic edge. Taste is pineapples, tart apples, citrus fruits, yeast. Somewhat dry finish. This was supposed to be a cider/ale hybrid bastard beer but I didn’t find the much cider in there. Apples was just one of the many fruits I could have listed. The yeast seemed to add a dryness to the beer making it feel almost Saison-ish. Another good beer I got to try at Extreme Beer Fest. And looking around at all the beer geeks present, I also realized that they hold beer festivals on week-ends because honestly, most of us cannot get dates anyway.
You could NOT tell the nose apart from a cider. Even the taste is nearly a cider. The only subtle difference is the yeast. Most people could not tell the difference if this and a good cider were side by side. I only could because our bartender told be before hand. Another amazing brew from Allagash. Very tasty. Draft @ Three Penny Taproom. Big white bubbles for head. Hazy orange, with yellow hues around the edges. Awesome aroma of orange and light Belgian spice. Taste is a mouth watering, orange peel and a slight pepper in the finish. Low carbonation and easy to drink. Great on draft. I would order again.

Draft. Pours a golden body with a white head. Big cider and yeast tones. Apple cores, a hint of oak, sweet fleshy apples. A bit dry in the finish with a bit of spiciness. Mild warmth. Alright.
