A lot of sour in the aroma, with a little fruit, maybe cherry, and a little wood. Really sour flavor, almost like a really strong, high quality gueze. Not at all what I expected, but still really good, if overpriced.

Taster pour at NH Brewfest. Appearance is hazy, dark yellow/slightly orange with a tiny ring of white head. Aroma is strong funky yeast with a hint of wine. Taste is tart like overripe fruit, with light wine. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, it's certainly funky and I give them credit for not overwhelming the beer with the wine barrels. It's well crafted but am not a huge tart fan so this isn't for me.
