BuckeyeBoy (7930) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 20, 2014
375ml bottle. Pours out a orangeish red with just a little ring of a head. Nose is oak barnyard cherries tartness and some cranberry sauce. Taste is as the nose with lots of wood and a nice tart cherry touch.

Draft. Brown amber pour with tab head. Cherry, sour, woody, wine like aromas complete with almost a Brett/lacto infusion. Flavor is tart cherry, light oak and nice bretty finish.

PhillyCraft (7375) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 20, 2013
Bottle at Franks tasting. Pours slightly clear orange with white lace, light carb. Aromas of heavy cherries, grape skins, funk, and dust. Taste is same with some lemons, acid, dark cherry, oak, and vanilla. Very lingering flavor left in the mouth. Light to medium body. One of the top beers I have had from Allagash. I usually avoid them due to their pricing points but I was glad someone shared this at the tasting. Cheers.

TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - APR 2, 2012
Draft on tap at Fountainhead (Chicago, IL). Pours a luscious deep copper pour, more fiery edges but a deeper dark copper middle and body. Cakey offwhite hear tan head that cakes atop, sticks around well and laces ok overall. Aromas are some touches of toast and biscuits and a deeper dry bretty funk. Cobwebs, dust, and mellow barnyard move into some cherry elements, touches of lactic acid, mellow yogurt, and more brett as it seems to take the reigns. Touches of sweetness still peek in from time to time. Brett forward as opposed to sour and cherry ridden. Initial is medium bodied, a bit fluffy and lighter on the palate as bretty funk and dryness takes focus. Restrained sweetness from the malt base does a couple peeks, touches of biscuits and bread. Mellow cherry, touches of tannins, and middle gets a touch tangy and tart. Some light sourness creeps in but dry brett stays dominant on my palate. Dry florals and dry brett take hold, a touch crisp into the backend and finish. Gentle or small cherry elements leave some mellow tang, tartness, light sourness. A touch of coolness, mellow herbal, as the cherries come a bit more into focus up front. A compliment, getting a bit more tart through the experience and opening up the complexity a bit more as I go through. Well carbonated and a bit effervescent, which provides a synergy with the dryness. More wild than sour. Nice solid beer with some nice complexities, dryness, and lighter overall. A bit different than I expected though.

swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JAN 19, 2014
Draft at Of Love and Regret, Baltimore. Ruby with brownish tiny; almost rusty colored pour. Medium to fuller bodied pour. Tart cherries, earthy. Not a huge picker but nicely sour and tart. Nice

nuplastikk (6312) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 2, 2013
375ml corked bottle shared by Madvike. Hazy/murky orange-red. Big off-white head, lasts. Mineral cherry pit aroma. Delicate malt background, pleasant cherry flavor, light sour edge very well incorporated. Really natural taste, quite delicious and clean. Tasty, well executed, a medium bodied Kriek that avoids being cloying.

thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 6, 2014
(375ml bottled November 2011) clear medium gold with hints of ruby. Nose is mossy, old cellar floor, touch of cranberry. Taste is slightly like a sour brown, light cherry, cranberry, medium sourness, carbonated like soda. Cherry and cranberry linger, touch of caramel in finish.

sonnycheeba (6126) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 28, 2012
Tap. Pours hazy amber with average, fizzy white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is sour fruit, cereal and cookie malt, floral hops, and light oak. Flavor is balanced malt and sour fruit esters with faint hops; dry finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.
