Cherry soda like fizziness not very tart or sour... Medium bodied lively... Decent but I’ve had so many better allagash sours...
Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks Tom L. 2011 bottle. Murky amber. Cherries, prunes, raisins, oxidation, sour-sweetish, a bit of vinegar, cobwebs, caramel, medium-bodied. Very nice. zvikar (6632) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - DEC 12, 2017

Got the last pour of the bottle so it was a murky dark golden with no head and no lacing for me but for others it was hazy with no head and no lacing. Nose is of oak and light vinegar. This being a 2011 bottle it didn’t seem too affected by age. Taste gives a slight hint of the age with some sherry/madeira but nothing bad. More oak and cherry wine. Body is medium, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel is certainly vinous. Overall a pretty nice one that I would have been curious to try fresh. Still, it held up pretty well for a 5+ bottle and was a nice drink for sure. Franckg (1958) - Trois-Rivières, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 2, 2017

Bottle during RBWG. Pours a cloudy orange with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is cherry skin and funk. Medium mouth, tart cherry, light bready malt, lingering dry finish, very good. JBPortland (1582) - Virginia, USA - JAN 31, 2015
375ml bottle pours hazy toasted red with small half finger head. Nose still holds lots of nice cherry pie spice, a hint of funk, round toasted crust and some cereal. Taste is medium tartness, round cherry and berry spice, toast, bread crust, a bit chalky. Finishes mostly dry with earthy toast and bits of semi-sweet roud tart cherry. Still tasting really good! wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 23, 2015
From notes. Tasted on 1/27/13 from a corked and caged 375mL bottle. Pours hazy orange-amber with a thick white head that leaves average lace. The nose is dominated by earthy, natural cherry with some caramel malt underlying. The flavor has a bit more caramel malt prevalent, but is a nicely sour lemon acidic, with tons of cherry. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long caramel and cherry finish. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JAN 2, 2015
375, heavy champagne bottle with cork and bale. Wow, thanks, B! What a treat. Pours a murky dark rubied garnet with a loose tan head. Forceful tangy sweet tart pie cherry nose with subtle balsamic and white vinegars counterpoints way in the background. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Tangy sweet tart pie cherries on the mid palate as well, soft tart counterpoints from the ferment. Not a lot of base beer showing through anymore. jkwood04 (5476) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 20, 2014
12.7oz bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy ruby/amber with an off-white head. Aroma of very light tartness, cherries, some pale and light caramel malts, and some light fruitiness. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. A cool beer.
