COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Allagash Saison is our interpretation of a classic Belgian farmhouse style. It is a golden hued beer, brewed with a 2-Row blend, malted rye, oats and dark Belgian candi sugar. It was hopped with Tettnang, Bravo and Cascade hops. Fermented with a traditional saison yeast strain, this beer exhibits notes of spice and tropical fruit in the aroma. Citrus and a peppery spice dominate the flavor and make way for a pleasant malt character. Saison is full bodied with a remarkably dry finish.

An absolutely gorgeous pour, crystal clean bright straw yellow with a billowing rocky white head and storm of carbonation. Lightly earthy and funky upfront with a hint of minerality and touch of racked pepper. Some white fruit and floral notes in the aroma as well. Subtle earthy and bready notes in the flavor. Light zesty quality with a very light body and dry palate.

12 ounces bottle from Craft Beer Cabin. Aroma: nice typical saison nose of raw wheat mixed with lemon and floral notes. App: Clear pale with minimal head leaving some lacing. Taste and palate: light to medium body, citrusy, light crisp bitter finish. Overall: This saison is really well done. No, it wont really standout from other saisons. Its just right on the style with no flafla. Pretty good. Exactly how I enjoy my saisons and especially at this price ($2). Great job Allagash.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2016 From bottle its hazed pale gold with a short white head. Aroma is yeasty-musty, papery, lightly husky, resinously hoppy with apple and pear-like fruitiness. Medium-bodied, sweet, syrupy, ester-y, bitter, citric, cider-like, and not very Belgian at all.

Hazy bright yellow color with white head. Aroma is quite rustic and earthy with some floral yeast and hay notes. Taste follows with the floral notes, some nice yeast, quite clean and fresh overall, not cloying or overpowering. Medium to light bodied, well carbonated but feels very soft on the palate. Its a really well made saison, not too complex but very well executed and easy to drink.

Looks great in the glass. Dense creamy white head that lasts through and through. The color is cloudy straw with a golden hue. Hyperactive carbonation. The aroma is barnyard hey, spicy and lemony hops, slightly herbal, and doughy from the yeast. On the taste I get spice and slight tart lemon. The yeast pulls through as slightly tangy and pizza like. Very refreshing.
