COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We named this beer to honor the rich tradition of farming in the sixteen counties of Maine. We brew the beer with malted Maine-grown barley, unmalted Maine-grown red wheat, and Maine-grown organic oats. Sixteen Counties has a bright copper hue with aromas of lemon rind, flowers, and candied grapefruit. The first sip opens with herbal hop notes, wheat cracker, and citrus and ends with a balanced, dry finish.

Yeast and lemon are tempered by the creaminess of the oats and the roastiness of the red wheat. Smooth overall and very easy drinking.

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured into a tulip glass. The beer is a bright orange with a big white head of foam. The aroma has grassy and grainy notes with aspects of vanilla bean and orange rind. A little pithy. Dry and floral bitterness in the taste. Quite dry. Medium body and medium carbonation. Velvety mouthfeel. Pretty good overall. Nice beer to accompany a hot day.
