COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Allagash Brewing Company would like to introduce its Tenth Anniversary Ale, a special 10% ABV beer that celebrates 10 years of brewing artisinal Belgian Style ales. A unique interpretation of our flagship Allagash White, Tenth Anniversary is a blend of two different whites: a sweeter batch (brewed in February, 2005) and a drier batch (brewed in March, 2005). By blending the two batches, an additional complexity is imparted. Further complexity, most notably expressed by the delicate vanilla notes, was gained by aging some of the beer in new oak barrels.

[4716-20120818] 750mL bottle. Pungent peppermint-like herbal aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Sweet herbal yeast flavour has a long-lasting aftertaste. Medium body is fairly boozy. Big and bold, a little old. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5

Had this at the Campground Brewdown courtesy of Andy. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Musky, old and fruity, old fruit and malt. Weird malty fruit. Fruity, malty, sweet fruit. Certainly old, fuzzy musk on the finish.

750ml shared with shadowane and sideshowe. Pours a bright golden orange color with a half finger white head that quickly fades.  Not much in the way of lacing. Complex aroma with a good balance of candy sugar, citrus fruit and zesty spice.  Lots of orange and tangerine candy sweetness that’s countered by spicy hints of pepper and coriander. Medium bodied with a decent amount of zesty spice and sweet citrus fruit.  Still pleasantly carbonated with lots of zesty spice up front.  Hints of pepper coriander followed by tangerine, orange and peaches and cream.  There’s also a subtle bubblegum presence that falls off toward the finish. Abv excellently masked making this beer dangerously drinkable. This beer has held up surprisingly well.

Hazy gold - amber beer. Softish dry palate. Subtly spiced malt with a distinct orange sherbet but also something else vegetal. Finishes dry soft and spicy with alcohol aniseed and warmth. Tasty and drinkable.

Pour out of bottle big thanks to Aaron for the pour! Hazy orange with white head, aroma has notes of butter, some caramel, toffee, hints of bready yeast. Taste is definitely buttery popcorn, some slight biscuit, grass, toffee, hints of vanilla, finishing fairly dry, but sweet. Decent for 7 years old.

Bottle @ Armin’s place, thanks to Satchboogie. Thanks Dany! Bready, lemon citrusy, somewhat spicy, Belgian yeasty, a bit toasty, somewhat oxidized aroma. Tangy, spicy, Belgian yeasty, thick straw, lemon/tangerine fruity, buttery, oxidized flavor. It’s not that bad and I’m sure it was excellent a few years back, but it’s going down now.

Drank it side by side with 11. Orange pour with peper flakes. Aromas of lemon, orangwe peel bread and belgian spice. Flavors of bread, lemon, orange and sweet malt. It’s great.

Bottle, gusher. Pour is hazy blonde with a good white head. Aroma is spicy belgo yeast, fruity, licorice, vanilla. Taste is quite sweet with spicy yeast, a bit of oak and vanilla. Palate is soft, slightly soapy. Pretty good.
