From notes. This was enjoyed at Jolly Pumpkin on October 1 for Zwanze Day 2016! The pour is a golden yellow with a thick white head that slowly recedes, leaving a decent lace behind. The aroma is really interesting. There is a ton of lemongrass and yeast. There is a hint of funky citrus, and a hint of sour to it. Its got a tropical fruit and it seems to be more of a saison than a traditional sour. The flavor is much of the same. The big grassiness up front, a light tropical fruit in the middle, and a pretty funky and earthy yeast on the finish. Hmm. The mouth feel is light, but a little thick, with a brighter carbonation and a funky fruit aftertaste. Its an interesting combo.

2016-08-13. Crisp golden yellow body with a modest white head that fades. 3+ Aroma is lightly woody and and funky. Flavour has a good amount of oak, moderate Bretty fruit and funk. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. 3+ Decent, some nice depth and character to it but the wood is a touch more prominent than Id prefer. 7/3-4/7/3/16 Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold with a small thin fizzy white head that faded fairly quickly. The nose is funky and very brett-dominated with a nice level of oakiness. The flavor is pretty nice, lots of peach like fruitiness, nice brett, clean oak. I like that its very funky and brett focused, and not acetic at all. Light bodied with fine fizzy prickly carbonation. Very nice stuff.

375 mL bottle. Orange body and a little hazy. Smells of brett, doughy malts, and some Belgian yeastiness behind it all. A little bit of citrus, too. Tastes really nice. Bretty yeast. Bright citrus. Grainy malt. A little bit sweet. Earthy bretty notes in the finish. Medium body and a little creamy. Well carbonated. Very promising and reminiscent of quality Belgian sours, but doesnt quite reach the heights of a really great beer.
