Draft, at BA Night of the Funk. Poured hazy golden with a moderate sized white head. Really enjoyable aroma, with yeast and wheat of the trippel, along with tart, funky, woody flavors picked up from the barrel aging. Complex flavor, with yeast, spice, oak, and funky, earthy yeast. Nice, active carbonation. By far my favorite beer at the fest.

TURDFERGUSON (4051) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - NOV 1, 2007
tap at NOTF 07. Hazy, blended golden with a white head. Nice, sweet and yeasty aroma with a bit of funk thrown in to balance things out. The funk really worked well with the phenols from the tripel. Flavor, like the lyons folly, is a nice mix of sweetness and funky yeast. I must confess I love Allagash Tripel and everytime Rob does something to "spice" it up, it always works out great.
