Frothy lovely head. Floral hop smell tastes of citrus but not too bitter at all. Slightly Sweet, alcohol is masked well. Triple with hops. Great overall beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours pale yellow into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Cracker aromas. Soft with sweet marshmallow and hot vanilla front to back.

NikkTwist (3345) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 19, 2013
Draft st Good Dog. Tulip. Hazy orange pour with a large foamy white head. Runny lace. Not much aroma. Very dry grassy citrus flavors. Unripe oranges. Lemongrass. Tamarind. Lychee. Pineapple. Grapefruit pith. Watermelon rind. Bok choy. Pink peppercorns. Sake lemonade. Fuller body than expected. Unusual. Several uniquely Japanese elements. Worth a try.

Draft at 2sp..slight yellow golden hue..minimal white head..aroma is nice getting that lemony spicy presence from sorachi..medium bodied..doesn’t taste like a tripel at all..mouthfeel is good and quite complex..no trace of the abv..

Draft at the growler NYC. Pours a bright eve resent gold color. Tastes like a saison at first but definitely comes up like a combination of te white and a tripel ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not much of a smell, but reminds me of a campfire...hazy yellow look, overall pretty good!

jflopsu (1801) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 22, 2013
Pours a hazy yellow. Has a orange, citrus, wheat and yeast aroma. Taste isn’t too strong for a tripel but has some hints of orange and wheat.

JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAY 23, 2013
On tap at Tyler’s, Durham. Faintly cloudy straw gold pour, with a big prickly head. Raw and ripe looking. Nose of strong yeast, clove, mild funk, and tons of Sorachi hops. Loads of bright hops and citrus rind in the taste, along with a bracing yeast that seems to ground the bitterness fairly effectively. As Sam said, I wouldn’t trade this for their regular tripel but I enjoyed it.

3.4
kindacold (237) - Norfolk, Virginia, USA - APR 10, 2013
Pours hazy orange/yellow with thick lacy head. Smells yeasty and sweet. Taste is very refreshing. Lots of yeast and malt, sweet, some sour, lots of spices. Somewhat sticky sweet finish, but still refreshing. Lingers a bit with sweet spiciness.
