Clear amber colour, white head. Aroma of caramel, hops, light chili, light citrus and red fruits. Light sweet flavour, light chili heat. Finish light chili, light sweet. Interesting, nice effort.
(From 50cL bottle @ After GBBF tasting, chriso’s place, London ’14. Thanks for sharing, rb crew!)

Bottle at home. Pours amber, sweet malty toffee followed by a slow burn, not bad.

Benzai (16914) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 19, 2014
Bottle shared @ ChrisO after GBBF Day 1. Clear orange color, small off-white head. Aroma is way more hoppy than I had expected. Taste is spicy, chili, and basically completely as expected. Not what I like.

50 cl bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is light greasy hoppy. Bitter, herbal, toasted and dry malty. Herbal, dry and bitter finish.

500ml bottle shared with jeevan and the Mrs. A problem shared is a problem thirded, in this case. Although, to be honest, it wasn’t that bad, just a poor 80/ imitation with some chilli heat. Didn’t find it lingering too much myself.

mr_h (6059) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - FEB 2, 2014
500ml bottle from Cornelius, Edinburgh - amber brown with a marginal haze, rapidly disappearing lively off-white head, malty aroma, no lacing, caramel flavour with a chilli hit, thin, hot spicy finish

Brandman (2964) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 12, 2013
Bottle. Dark clear mahogany body, small offwhite head. Aroma has some nutty malt, raisins and chilli tickle. Flavour has sharp chilli burn in back of the throat. Some dark maltiness and bit veggies. Chilli burns quite a long time. Strange feeling for beer.

500 ml bottle. 060513. BBE May/2014. From
Dark copper colour with a small greyish white head. Sweet malt, milk chocolate, dried fruits and mild vegetables in the aroma. Tickles in the nose a bit. The flavour is dry malt, wood, chocolate sweetness and some bitterness. Warms a lot. There’s no chili flavour but it’s warming... so it’s definitely there. Quite peculiar chili beer.

Idiosynkrasie (8190) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - SEP 5, 2013
500ml bottle. Wonderful, totally clear, ruby red colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, sulphur-yellowish head. Caramel malty aroma has notes of red berries, dried red fruit, adumbrated chilli notes. Taste is initially minimally sweet fruity, hints of red berries, dry hoppy overtones, in the finish appear slightly hot, peppery chilli notes; extremely smooth, soft palate. The addition of chillis is neither advantage nor damage.
