Copenhagen 18/11 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Label with blue ornaments and assurance that this beer is based on a historic recipe. Pours dark brown with red tinge and light beige head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam. Thin lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is intense. Coffee, dark chocolate, brown sugar and toffee. Alcohol lurking in the background. Soft carbonation and surprisingly watery palate. Flavor is medium sweet followed by quite massive and pronounced coffee bitterness. Bitter aftertaste. Lingering. The body is a bit thin but nice aroma and taste. And it carries a punch.

[email protected], Copenhagen - dark brown almost black coloured pour with thin tan head. Toasted and medium to light roasted malty, some dark fruit, cocoa, nuts, caramel, burnt sugar, light charred earthy notes in the finish. Decent gear.

Bottle, 7.1%. Vinous aroma. Mildly roasted. Clear dark brown colour. Small frothy light brown head. The flavour starts off quite vinous, turns more roasted and ends with salty liquorice and roast barley. I like the finish a lot better than the beginning. Good coffee finish. Does not taste 7.1%, but it is a very good beer, indeed.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with small light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and roast, with notes of caramel and dried fruit and touches of yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with sweetish notes of caramel malt, coffee, yeast and fruit. Hints of barrel. Roasty aftertaste with nutty and malty hints. Very nice.

Chocolate brown colour and indeed a flavour of chocolate comes through along with some coffee. A little thin for a porter but a good drink. From 330ml bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
