Its hard to jump up and down in delight about a pale/standard American style Lager. However, as examples of the style go, this really isnt that bad. Malt presence if there, even if the hops are so subdued they are almost indistinguishable. Cant blame Alley Kat for producing a beer for mass marketing. There are a lot of drinkers of this style out there.

Light and flat. Didn’t taste much hops though. Not that bad, but not worth a buy again

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2012 (First Taste, Home, New 341mL Bottle, Lager Glass, 5% ABV, Chilled, 28/02/12. #10.)

Appearance (3/5): Pours extremely clear, golden yellow with an average, white, diminishing head with little lacing.
Aroma (4/10): Citrus and grassy hops with cereal and a little fruitiness.
Taste (5/10): Balanced, but not very exciting. Sweet, with an acidic, bitter finish.
Palate (2/5): Light bodied, watery, soft carbonation, slightly metallic finish.
Overall (12/20): It might not be anything special, but it is a lot better then most other pale lagers out there.
Drinkability: 5/5. Character: 1/5. Buy Again: No.

341mL bottle poured a pale golden color with a small white head and practically no lacing. Aroma is of bread and cereal. Taste is lightly sweet with light hop finish. A slightly above average lager beer.

The flavor has a bready biscuit malt and when you throw in some floral notes it turn’s out to be a nice well balanced beer. The aroma gives off a very large floral presence. Pour’s a pale golden color with a quick disappearing head and a small amount of lacing. The finish has a nice clean crispness with a touch of hops.

Not much of a blonde anything here. Well, the drapes don’t match the curtains anyway... Clear, yellowish pour that bubbles out a surprising amount of white foam, no lacing. Aroma is corn, malts, and a hint of hops. Taste is more of the same, a malty frothy bite of plain lagery beer. Disappointing from Alley Kat. A macro swill for the masses.

On tap. Clear yellow can see the small print it’s so clear. No aroma to speak of. Flavour is neutral and boring. Typical pale lager.

Draft. Pours your standard pale-lager yellow, 1-ich white head, and this is a truly remarkable beer. Never before have I ever tasted a beer with such an utterlack of distinguishing flavor. Apart from a basic, and in no way unpleasant pale malt character, and just the barest scratch of hops, this beer is in no way unremarkable from soda water. I am staggered by how little I can report on this beer, it was in no way offensive; no rotting-corn, effluent, or off flavors, but no real discernible flavors that I would consider desirable either. A true black hole of flavor, really, this is almost unratable, as there is simply nothing to rate.

Crappy beer. Dumps out a light bright amber brew and was producing no head at all until I poured the remainder of the bottle in from about a foot above the glass. One pathetic string of bubbles arose. Aroma was of weak sweet malts, some wheat and some stink when warmer. Overall mild and boring. Taste seemed a bit sharp with less than average hops. Slight malts. Needs more of everything. Light bodied with an ok swish and some smoothness. Not great or enjoyable but not horrible.

Beer pours a hazy beige gold with zilch for head only a small bubble ring appears around the edge of me glass. What the hell there are big bubbles trying to break free of the surface but can’t, it’s like the beers surface is this impenetrable plastic that won’t allow carbonation to escape with out a fight WEIRD!!! Strange combo of chemical and banana in the sent and why am I smelling banana here? Very sweet smelling, fakley sweet in fact, this brew smells ungood. Ya that’s right I said ungood. Yuck nasty taste egg yolk, bread and chemicals all come through and its making my face curl and wince with ever sip. Slight banana in the finish, why is that flavor here? Beer feels soft and thin and flat nasty beer. Why is beer allowed to exists WHY? Good job Ally Kat
