Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 23, 2013
Pours a hazy orangish copper with a frothy white head and lots of sticky lace. Aroma of piney, floral, slightly woody Columbus hops with a nice sweet caramel and pale malt profile in the background. Taste is the caramel and sweet pale malt profile up front that transitions and balances very well with the orange, grapefruit, piney hops. Excellent smooth balance between malts and hops male it seem like the perceived ibus are lower than the actual. Top 3 in the series along with maroon and jade.

Rating #831 - December 13, 2013 - Alley Kat Tap Takeover at Beer Revolution in #yeg. Pours a hazy copper with a fairly frothy head. sticky lacing. Aroma is mild orange and lemon, lots of piney floral aroma.Taste is mild sweetness (citrusy, piney, floral) and a dominant lingering bitterness - cookie dough, caramel malt character really brought out, really resinous and sticky in the finish. Loved all of the dragon series so far.

Masterkush7 (580) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 6, 2013
Golden pour, small cap, creamy and tight. Good sticking lace in the glass. Nose has and herbal, pungent woody hop note from the Columbus hops, backed with some caramel malt sweetness. Taste has a caramel malt base, with a smooth piney finish, milder bitterness than expected. Medium body, average carbonation profile. Pretty tasty.

I saved the first 8 Alley Kat Dragon Series to taste them all together. I don't know if the series is done, but I can't wait longer as the first few are getting old. So here goes... Bottle to glass Aroma of orange, grapefruit, and alcohol. Yellowish amber with smallish white head and nice lacing. Taste is overly sweet, a little spicy, and has some hoppiness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - Vintage 2011 - Again, smells remarkably good for a vintage IIPA. Sweet grapefruit and candy like. Clear light copper with a thin head. Starts of nice and sweet, then leads to a bitterness that overwhelms. No real hops left in the taste. Again, didnt stand up to time very well.

Bomber bottle. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a thin white head; light carbonation. Aroma of citrus. Taste: Bitter, notes of citrus, with a slightly sweet malt undertone; full-bodied. Warming mouthfeel. Finishes with a pine / citrus hop bitterness, melts to a slight sweetness. Very, very good!

Dried apricot, pine and a hearty dose of caramel. A touch of earthiness. Smooth, flowery, earthy, woody. Not overly bitter, but nice malt backbone. Enjoyable an not Over the top. Not tons of bitterness.

This one smells great—very fresh pine and citrus, but the taste is not quite as distinctive as the red or blue dragon brews. Still a really great beer.
