Very flowery nose. Nice golden colour, but head disappears quickly. Flavour dominated by very flowery hops. Flavour lingers a long time. Malta a bit weak. Will be loved by hop heads.

UXO (1896) - CANADA - MAR 15, 2016
Appearance: clear pale amber with one finger of loose ivory head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: grainy malt, grapefruit, resin, catty. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-strong bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium slick body, moderate carbonation, lingering and building bitter and boozy finish. (3/5) Big, boozy, and unsubtle. Malt forward in pretty much exactly the way I was afraid it would be. Think, corn syrup with a dash of turpentine. But in a good way? Well… in an OK way, anyway. (12/20)

DeanF (2647) - Quebec, CANADA - MAR 8, 2016
Minimal hops aroma, fruit gold body and no noticeable head. Sweet and strong flavour with a hint of hops. A little overpowered with no finesse to all this brute force.

rejtable (2888) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 8, 2016
Tap at underground. Pours clear copper frothy head and lots of lacing. Nose is dank. Flavours of grapefruit, some syrup, grapefruit. Taste med bitter light/med sweet. Full sticky body with some alcohol burn.

mabel (10004) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 12, 2014
[6159-20140131] Bottle. Fragrant floral blueberry hops and candy cane aroma. Slightly hazy, orange body with a foamy white head. Bitter orange grains flavour. Medium body. Average, could be showing its age. (7/3/6/3/13) 3.2

Overheard: "You all right over there?" "Just practising my dementia!"

andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 20, 2014
Pours a fairly clear golden amber with a medium sized creamy white head that seems to last a while and leaves a lot of good lace on the glass. Aroma is pine, resin, floral and faint malt. Flavour is resin, pine, floral, med-high fantastic bitterness mild sweetness but a medium dry finish.

haukur (2124) - Kópavogur, ICELAND - APR 12, 2014
bottle trade via Duffman! thanks so much! Golden color, small head but loads of lacing. Very hoppy nose, definitive Columbus on this one. Bitter finish, a bit resiny but also muddy undertone. Felt very fresh and this one went down fast. Very decent showcase of a single hop dipa.

jercraigs (11071) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 15, 2014
2013-01-31. Dark orange body with a small white head. Aroma is relatively alcoholic, resiny hops are lightly green. Flavour is relatively sweet, caramel notes, fruity sweet hops. Average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Enjoyable, the hops are less complex than I’d like, but the bottle is likely old unfortunately. Bottle via trade with Ferris

blankboy (7881) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 5, 2014
[Bottle (650ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o j&m] Pours a hazy golden-orange with a spare diminishing off-white head. Aroma has lots of hops, catty and hempy, along with an almost harsh smell and some alcohol. Flavour is fruity and alcoholic along with lots of hops, caramel malt and a big bitter finish. Average bodied. Not great, just O.K.

HogTownHarry (7086) - Toronto (Harbourfront), CANADA - JAN 31, 2014
January 31, 2014 - with blankboy, gregclow, jercraigs & mabel. 650ml bottle c/o jercraigs. Not sure how old the bottle is - it’s debated and unresolved. Clear refractive amber-gold, smallish bubbly beige head. Aroma - sweet, papery, a little boozy, floral and dry. Taste follows - sweet and papery, a little more dry floral bitterness, but more like an ESB than a DIPA. Light body, slick, weakly carbonated with a wan, slightly harsh finish. Must be old - not sure it was all that "big" to start with.

exeter (538) - calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 24, 2014
Appearance: Copper colour, nice head slight lacing. Smell: Heavy Pine, citrus and grassy. Taste: Heavy hop monster. Pine juice mixed with citrus and background malt.
