Bottle - Vintage 2011 - Again, smells remarkably good for a vintage IIPA. Sweet grapefruit and candy like. Clear light copper with a thin head. Starts of nice and sweet, then leads to a bitterness that overwhelms. No real hops left in the taste. Again, didn’t stand up to time very well. jercraigs (10731) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 15, 2014
2013-01-31. Dark orange body with a small white head. Aroma is relatively alcoholic, resiny hops are lightly green. Flavour is relatively sweet, caramel notes, fruity sweet hops. Average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Enjoyable, the hops are less complex than I’d like, but the bottle is likely old unfortunately. UPDATED: JAN 29, 2016 Bottle. Bright orange gold, thick creamy cream-coloured crown that retains beautifully. Aroma is fresh fragrant tropical fruit-- papaya, melon, orange-- with underlying notes of golden syrup and wood. Sweet ripe tropical fruit flavours with a big bitter citrus oil finish. Medium to full bodied, oily mouthfeel. So fresh and tasty! mabel (9245) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 12, 2014
[6159-20140131] Bottle. Fragrant floral blueberry hops and candy cane aroma. Slightly hazy, orange body with a foamy white head. Bitter orange grains flavour. Medium body. Average, could be showing its age. (7/3/6/3/13) 3.2

[Bottle (650ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o j&m] Pours a hazy golden-orange with a spare diminishing off-white head. Aroma has lots of hops, catty and hempy, along with an almost harsh smell and some alcohol. Flavour is fruity and alcoholic along with lots of hops, caramel malt and a big bitter finish. Average bodied. Not great, just O.K.

January 31, 2014 - with blankboy, gregclow, jercraigs & mabel. 650ml bottle c/o jercraigs. Not sure how old the bottle is - it’s debated and unresolved. Clear refractive amber-gold, smallish bubbly beige head. Aroma - sweet, papery, a little boozy, floral and dry. Taste follows - sweet and papery, a little more dry floral bitterness, but more like an ESB than a DIPA. Light body, slick, weakly carbonated with a wan, slightly harsh finish. Must be old - not sure it was all that "big" to start with. reebtogi (6341) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 22, 2011
650ml bottle pours a clear golden color when held to the light with a finger of white head and some nice thich lacing left behind. Aroma is citrusy hops. Taste is light grapefruit bitterness balanced nicely with a light malty sweetness. This is truly representative of an American northest style IPA and was honestly a pleasure to have tasted. Outstanding. TimE (6067) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 7, 2012
Dried apricot, pine and a hearty dose of caramel. A touch of earthiness. Smooth, flowery, earthy, woody. Not overly bitter, but nice malt backbone. Enjoyable an not
Over the top. Not tons of bitterness. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 22, 2011
Bottle. Dark amber with light enough head to empty the bottle in my pint glass. Aroma is interesting floral and wood mix which seems complex for single hop beer. Flavor has the same tasty notes. Like a strong woody ESB. Hint of dark sugar, candy and pretzels. robinvboyer (4736) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 3, 2012
Cleam amber pour, rocky white head, sticky lacing. Aroma is resinous, lots of pine, even some spruce. Sweet orange citrus and a little butter (diacetyl?)
Mouth feel and carbonation are spot on. Finish is very bitter, and leaves a peppery resinous pine flavor. Decent ipa, not sure its a dipa.
