3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - Resin and orange with nothing really standing out. Light copper and clear with a minimal head. Resin and a mellow bitterness. A bit of alcohol heat at the finish. Very average.
Dragon night! Pours a clear amber with a tiny white ring around the glass. Aroma is earthy, fruity and some maltiness. Taste is a harsh bitterness, earthy, and grapefruit. Definitely my least favorite of the series Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 3, 2013
Pours a clear orangish/golden copper with a small frothy white head and lots of lace. Aroma is bready malts, citrus, tropical fruits and earth. Taste is bready biscuity maltsI, earthy hops, grass and a harsh hop bitterness that just keeps getting harsher and your taste it forever. Starts good but leaves a lot to be desired. One of my least favoites of the series thus far, stick to single hops please. DuffMan (10434) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 23, 2013
Bottle, shared with Parksy. Orange-tinted gold, sweet aroma with ripe papya and grass notes. Ripe papaya, light medicinal herbs, a little sticky, very bitter. The sweetness of the malts are controlled here, but the aromatics of the hops are just not really there enough to turn me on. Not bad, but not the best in this series. I had the Jade Dragon recently and enjoyed it more. cfrancis (3450) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 9, 2013
Thanks to Reimer for this. Pours a clear amber gold with a small white top. Aroma is faint cascade earthy hop and bready malts. Taste is bready malts with small earthy hops. Leaves stuff to be desired. gramity (1668) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 7, 2013
Misplaced my detailed notes on this one. I recall thinking it was somewhere in the middle range of the Dragon Series pack but quite enjoyable.

Favourite of the Dragon series thus far and one of the best IPAs I have had. thb (829) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 1, 2013
Pours a sparkling clear dark yellow with not much head. A lot like cider, actually. Aroma is citrus, cereal, floral hops. Cereal more potent than I remember from the other ones. Taste has less freshness than the aroma (don’t know how else to describe it), but hits the same floral, citrus, cereal. Bitter, mineral finish. Impressively drinkable. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 4, 2013
Big bottle. Is it the mix of hops that makes it plaid. A nice IPA or Double but though solid it does not seem to stand out from the small crowd of its brothers. I will buy the next version of the dragon and would not say no to another plaid but it seems...well...plaid. dfearnley (2145) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 3, 2013
I saved the first 8 Alley Kat Dragon Series to taste them all together. I don't know if the series is done, but I can't wait longer as the first few are getting old. So here goes...
Bottle to pils glass
Nutmeg, hay, papaya. Light clear amber with no head. Taste is plainly just bitter.
